Sorry for the delay. Holidays and whatnot. I never said all women belong barefoot and pregnant. I'm pretty egalitarian as these things go. Everyone can do what they want to do. But the thing SO many people forget when fighting for "equality" is two fold. You're arguing something different than what OP is arguing then. I still disagree, but I would have used different arguments. I agree people should be qualified for things. I also think unless you are literally saving lives, most jobs... quite f…

Such women were traditionally raised, trained to put their families and husbands first So we agree women can learn to be good with money given an education just like men can. Great. That is no longer true for Western women, or even most Indian women these days. It's also not true for men- and I haven't seen anything personally that proves your point. Men and women often spend their money on different things, but spend it they do. There is far less incentive for anyone of either gender to save in…

Women still don't behave responsibly when it comes to finances. While it's true that women are more likely to have debt, men are more likely to have more debt. They are also more likely to spend their money on higher risk investments and vices like gambling and alcohol. Everyone sucks with money, just in different ways. I'd also like to bring up the fact that in some countries, women were expected manage the family finances. In Japan, for example, men presented their entire paychecks to their ho…

Huh. I don't think it would matter to me who my SO was cheating with or what he was doing. It would really just be the cheating I took issue with. Granted, I know a lot of bisexual people, so I'm used to the idea of a person trying everything. Interesting. Thanks.

100% cultural and stigma based I mean, yeah a lot of it is. And a lot of it was based on lack of birth control. Now that we have that, there's really no reason to keep us barefoot in the kitchen if we don't want to be. And not to poke holes, but you just admitted you lived in a place that emphasized traditional gender roles more than say, NYC. But let's say I agree with you for a moment. Tall people have a natural advantage at basketball, yet not all tall people play basketball. And you get outl…

I never said that. All I'm saying is that traditional women's work was valued less and so women were valued less. I see no reason why history wouldn't repeat itself. And while I'm glad to hear none of your IRL friends devalue a SAHM's work, there are certainly enough people on this sub who do. If there is always a stigma and we just need to ignore it... why split the genders? Is there some particular advantage there? Why not let men stay at home and women work and wet can just continue "ignoring…

...corresponding strengths of both sexes Ok, cool. If that works for you two, it works. So, sort of yeah Ehh there is a BIG difference between bedroom talk and public humiliation and disrespect. That's really more what I was talking about. Were you financially setup... Oh god no, I was an awkward little freak as a teen. I don't know what I might have been pulling off in my early 20s dating unemployed gamer nerds and insisting on always paying half. If I was "extracting resources," I was doing a …

Nobody asked... Uh... you asked? This dynamic is the norm and why it is most boring imo I meant boring as in... having a submissive person always following you about. I don't know, I guess I'm just not into that dynamic. I like give and take. use their sexuality to extract resources from men as a general strategy I laughed. Because we are literally "extracting resources from you." Traditional Confucian philosophy called it "stealing a man's chi." Cracked me up. Thanks for that. I can't speak for…

sigh I don't know why I'm responding. You're clearly a troll, but... First off, loose ass pickle breath thot here. Nice to meet you. Thank you for answering my question. I mean that seriously, I've asked several times and got very few responses. Moving on. Purity is nice. Also more fun to corrupt. Sure. Goes both ways though. ;) Sluts are lame and easy, if you can turn a chaste girl into your personal whore you win life (as a man) Sounds boring. Are all women whores then? Also there's the fact t…

Well, I can appreciate you caring for the future of your child even if I don't agree with your concerns or methods. As for that last bit, "carnal desire" does not rely solely on youth and beauty. There's intimacy, fun, empathy, and caring there too- even in a one night stand when it's approached as mutual exchange. A poor, unattractive person can still be an exceptional lover. And love, real lasting love, between two people can be enhanced by previous experience. As a child of a broken home myse…

Interesting read. I do feel like you're ignoring the 67% of people who have had over 10 partners and don't get divorced. If you do plan on marriage/kids, then I will continue to denounce your dysgenic behavior. ... Alright? Far be it for me to question something you've determined will absolutely happen. Guess so. Far more likely they're just embarrassed to tell you. Doubtful. Long-term friends tell each other everything- even the gross stuff. This does not preclude a woman from wanting a man tha…

I feel like you would stumble across it at some point though. Honestly, if I found out a guy I was dating had slept with prostitutes or a bunch of women, I'd want to sit him down for a gossip session. Guaranteed to be some good stories there. Conversely, if I found out he was less experienced, I would be excited to teach him new things. Wouldn't really bother me at all. Never understood that. But no, I'd never directly ask and I'd probably give a side-eye to any guy that took issue with my "numb…

women that have sex before marriage once double in divorce rate I don't have stats on this, but don't you think that might be the religious aspect? People who wait until marriage are more likely to be religious and thus less likely to get divorced. Unscrupulous: "having or showing no moral principles". And again I ask why. Who decided it was immoral to have a good time? One in two sexually active persons will contract an STI by age 25. Huh. Guess I and all my friends have just been lucky. I also…

You don't have to be religious to recognize the value in waiting until marriage, or waiting many months, to have sex. What's the value? Another definition for whore is: "an unscrupulous person". Why unscrupulous? Some of them probably don't but the vast majority of men with high n-counts have had a run-in with STDs Not if they're practicing safely and getting regular checkups. Many Americans at least have sex ed classes these days. And it's called condoms, man.

Right? It just means I have to take the reigns a little more. Fine with me. Yeah virgins I'd be hesitant for the same reasons, still I wouldn't find it boring or unsatisfying as long as he was willing to learn.

It seems that the topic of a woman's sexual history is a big concern among red pillers, Not to hijack, but why is that? What is this weird obsession with chastity you all have? What if someone just likes sex and people and practices safe sex?

The entertainment industry is it's own bag, but in my experience as a government worker, there's a joke about women who sleep with their bosses. "Sleeping your way to the middle." It might get you a minor promotion or a favor or two, but you're not getting to the top that way and any woman who wanted to be taken seriously knows it's not the route to go. You'll basically be blacklisted at some point and never get another promotion again. Now, sleeping with your boss because you want to sleep with…

Well, a lot of it comes from feminism. There were parts of the US where women weren't even allowed to have their own credit cards right up until the 80s. You had to have a man sign off on it because women were considered "financially irresponsible" (ok well, I'll just take my rather large retirement account and 800+ credit score and go then). My grandmother, when she finished high school, was told "you can be a secretary since you're not married. We're not sending you to school with your brother…

Not entirely. There are still some weird holdovers. Women taking a man's name, for example. And a woman's family paying for the wedding is a weird nouveau dowry system. Now, we do have a choice whether or not to participate in those rituals today, yes. But there is still a lot of pressure to do so. I can't tell you the looks I get from guys when I tell them I would never change my name. You're absolutely right, it's not what it used too be, but it's still there.

Yeah, I've definitely bought men's meals before. Generally, if it's a little thing like Chipotle or whatever we just take turns paying. And then fancy dinners I split. It's not that strange dude.

Do you still value having a high salary over a personally fulfilling career then? Or do you value the salary? I would imagine if it's the latter, you will tend to attract women who also value money.

Traditionally, it is in Judeo-Christian systems. Literally what it was intended to signify.

Traditionally, it was the engagement ring that was a sign of ownership. It was literally intended to say a woman was "off the market." Kind of like a "dibs!" system. Not the man though, he could continue shagging whomever he liked right up until the wedding day. Thus no engagement ring for him. Had it's roots in Judaism and the system was adopted into Christianity and Islam. And that's your historical fun fact for the day.

Nah, single still. Last bf took me for a turn, so I'm taking a break. I make food for me of course. I just wouldn't say I'm great at it. Women are also taught not to brag about stuff, so that could be part of it. Like I know lots of women who are amazing cooks, but you'll never get them to say that. I care more about how well they manage money personally. Like, can you pay your agreed upon portion of the bills every month? We're good. Spending it all on vices and dropped the ball on rent? Not go…

None of y'all can even cook. Hah! It's true, I can't cook! Well, except chili. I make a damn good chili. Do men cook then? She's Not intimidated by it. She's gonna date them. Well, I guess I'm just weird then- along with all the women I know. I also generally don't ask for salaries as prerequisite for agreeing to go on a date with a guy. Seems uncouth. It's really simple. Relationships are anything but.

If only they existed Lol. Us wiminz are pretty out there. You're telling me a woman who makes 100k wouldn't date someone who makes 300k because of intimidation and would rather settle for someone who makes 30k at best? I think it has more to do with values. Now, once you're hitting the six figure mark, all my logic flies out the window because I have no experience with that. But I can say that wealthy men have a very different set of priorities and values than less wealthy men. Does she value sh…

My preferences... Haha, ok. So like... normal women? They're not gonna date a guy at McDonald's and see him as husband material. I can't imagine many men marrying women who work at McDonalds either, tbh. There's a whole level of classism and socio-economics that we haven't touched on there. Are they in successful marriages? Yeah, absolutely. I hate to generalize, but in my experience, most women want to be able to support the standard of living they are used to. So, if that's middle class, that'…

I suppose. I don't feel like I'm that abnormal though. He had a toxic family he wouldn't let go of. Like, stole our money and got arrested all the time toxic. When it came down to it, it was either going to be me or them, and I knew what his answer was going to be.

Why is a high "notch count" bad? If everyone involved is a consenting adult and they had fun, I'm not sure what the problem is. I can see what you're saying about wanting to be in the same place as your peers though, good point.

Hmm... still I feel like unless you're trying to be the next Duggar family, it wouldn't matter much. Most women can get pregnant easily into their early 40s as you said (and despite what commercial fertility clinics like to shove down our throats), so if you just wanted the standard 2-3, you could easily manage that with an older woman. And men's fertility does go down as well, it doesn't cease completely, but things like sperm counts and rates of autism are affected by paternal age. And really,…

I mean... I've never been married, have no kids, and am in my 30s without looking to "lock down" as fast as I can. It happens to men, why wouldn't it happen to women? Do all Red Pill Men care about age that much? What's the obsession there besides looks?

I dated a guy who wanted to be a SAHD for two years. It was awesome and I marveled at pretty much everything he could do that I couldn't (cook with whatever was in the fridge, clean things I didn't notice, fix stuff, host, etc). You are over-generalizing.

So you personally prefer a woman who is spends more time nurturing the relationship, is what you're saying? I know plenty of women who aren't chasing men for money though. Even more true with women who don't want children. Why would they need to if they have their own money?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/17 04:10 PM

Because "women's work" would be valued less. And thus women would be valued less.

Other people have mentioned value judgement, so I'll skip that. My question is what happens when things inevitably get complicated. For example, in Armenia, a largely developed country with a relatively stable government and society, there is a joke that goes like this: "When are like wool. They more you beat them, the softer they will be." It's is accepted within this society that a women will be hit by her husband. They have no recourse for this, as most positions of power are held by men. Go …

It doesn't offend me, and I would call myself a feminist. I think you can be a feminist and still be able to talk to the opposite gender and ask them/be asked out on dates. I will say I get really tired of getting approached by random strangers who want my phone number. I might get snippy if it's happened too much in one day. Men will sometimes leave with the impression that they've "offended" me somehow, when really I just wanted to do my damn shopping in peace and you're like the third guy in …

I've seen plenty of men who say the exact same thing about one night stands. Check out r/askmenover30. I don't think it's so easily divided by gender. I couldn't speak for men or even other women, but even if I don't orgasm, it's still fun. I like people. I like sex. There is no quicker way to get to know people than by taking each others' clothes off. That's why I have one-night stands. Some people don't like them and that's fine- to each their own. EDIT: I also want to add that people do a lot…
