The GDP per capita value doesn't compare to the avg. income since the income statistics only consider the people who's income isn't zero and the GDP per capita is the GDP divided by the total population. In a healthy economy the avg. income should be higher than the GDP per capita, indicating that the work force is getting a decent share in the profits.

Pre everything. Taxes have to be payed separately and depend heavily on the area you live in. Also worth mentioning is the effective salary is higher than those 52k because the company you work for has to pay at least 50% towards the mandatory pension fund. So those 52k don't compare 1:1 to other salaries around the globe.
