If we change the day we could probably get less complaints from both sides about if you deserve this day and you don’t deserve that. I was just trying to find a middle ground. I try and do that with a lot of things so that it doesn’t look like I’m one sided.

It’s just a day mate, calm your farm. I’m not trying to “appease a minority”. I’m trying to think of a solution that can appease both sides.

Maybe we should just have parent day once or twice a year so no one can argue? I think that will be fine, then we will be equal. And it’s good for queer couples to celebrate. Edit: Look I’m sorry to everyone who was offended by my post, but you’re kind of sounding like the people you’re against. I thought this sub was more towards equality for both men and women and trying to show that men also have problems as well as women. I don’t understand why people are down voting this when I was trying t…

I’m going to try and be a nurse practitioner (exactly like a GP) so I can be a doctor and please my dad and I at the same time. Sure I’ll get payed less and have to work in more rural areas, but I think it would be worth it in the end.

He’s quite right winged, he believes that women are better as nurses than doctors as they are more caring (which is true, yet I’m not the best at caring). Im gonna try be a nurse practitioner which is the exact same as a GP except you get your qualifications through nursing and get paid less. I will technically be a doctor though as I have to earn a PHD.

I love this subreddit and I love this post. In my opinion, men and women both have problems that effect them, and we are just ignoring the men’s ones. My boyfriend can never show his feminine side, because he’s told to man up, even though he loves make up and is as straight as anything. I want be a doctor, yet my father is trying to get me into nursing instead as “it’s the same thing” which I kind of don’t believe.

As a women, who is left winged, I can talk to women about men’s rights as well as women’s. I believe that if I was a man talking about this I would get shamed. I understand why you are scared. I found it easier to talk to right winged women about men’s rights as well as women’s, so maybe start off with that, or even talk to some more open minded left winged people. Try not to argue and be civil, that’s my advice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
