The vibes are immaculate. You should definitely go when you get the chance.

No ren fair nearby?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:39 PM

Seriously some of my best memories. Great place to make friends too 🙌
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:37 PM

Everyone gets laid at the ren fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:08 PM

Eh, why not 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:02 PM

girl, no....
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:00 PM

Someone hit a nerve 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:00 PM

Maybe. But the way these guys express their horniness is something else.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 02:41 PM

Not saying it's black and white, but it's what I have generally observed. Also, the guy who just has a lot of casual sex arguably has a different vibe than the unexperienced guy who ends up sexualising every woman he crosses paths with.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 02:41 PM

The horniest most obsessive men have the least sexual experience. Most guys leave that behind in their teens, but the ones that don't end up shooting themselves in the foot, repelling everyone with their desperation. It's sad to see.

This rings true. I grew up with sisters both older and younger than me. It had a massive impact on the expectations placed upon me as a boy compared to my peers. Now as a young adult I find that I struggle a lot less, not only in dating, but also in building friendships and other meaningful relationships with women and with people in general. I think a lot of the pushbak some men have against what we consider feminine skills comes down to a negative simplification and stereotyping of said skills…

At what point do people simply leave the apps and date irl? It's easier and a lot more enjoyable anyway.

And sperm banks are very much a thing! I'm friends with a lesbian couple who just successfully did IVF with an anonymous donor. It wasn't cheap, but they both have well paid jobs, so they made it work. Regarding men in all of this, from my experience and observations, it doesn't matter as long as you have something solid to offer as a partner. If women increasingly dating women ends up raising overall expectations, can anyone actually argue that it is a bad thing? Personally I think the goal sho…

There is more variety within the groups (men and women) than there is difference between them. So as with anything else, it's just about finding someone who's compatible with you.

Thanks! Regarding failed jokes. My jokes frequently don't land. That's ok. It's often when the self deprecation comes in (though be careful not to confuse it with self pity. Self pity is offputting as hell). I think it's important to show people that you don't take yourself too seriously, that it's all in good fun. That way you won't come off as a try-hard, intense, invasive, creepy or whatever. Humour can also be used as a way to uplift or compliment people without making them feel too vulnerabl…

I will give you a proper response tomorrow when I am sober, but I think you bring up some important points. Important points that are helped by forming solid friendships with girls and eventually women from a young age. That's my secret anyway, whenever my male peers ask me "how do you do it?". And even with my early start, better late than never 🤷‍♂️

My guy friends definitely have a harder time than my female friends. But to be fair my female friends are much more sociable on average, though I will not deny that their dating pools are larger as a result if male desperation. They don't go for that however. As for my guys friends, they're mainly too self conscious to charm anyone. You need to be ok making a joke and it not landing, trying again and again, and using self deprecation liberally. It's also crutial to get out of your own ass so you…

Relax, she's 29. I mostly date my own age, but she's cool and I enjoy our conversations. I am not looking to find my life partner right now, so I take it day by day and so far it's going great despite me not being a chad or whatever. I know how to talk, how to work a crowd, how to make people laugh, and make them feel seen. Meanwhile I have really conventionally attractive, tall and fit friends who struggle dating, so ime, mindset matters most.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 08:48 PM

You misunderstood. She's the older one. And her technically being above my league is not an exception. I have good dating experiences because I have things to offer that aren't as easily measurable as height or income. Mainly being sociable.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 08:27 PM
2

My last date was with a lawyer, older than me, hot, and far more successful. We're meeting again for drinks tomorrow. There is a lot more to being attractive than the metrics you mentioned.

idk man, sounds like a skill issue. I am not tall, I am a poor student, and I am having a great time dating.

Have you even considered that when men are taller on average, stronger on average, better paid on average, the average couple would naturally look like that?

You could fool me. I am still in university and in no hurry to get married. Dating is going great however, thanks for asking.

You have such a limited understanding of human relationships, it's honestly sad for you. Talking about bs like "the friend zone" beyond your high school years is embarrassing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:17 PM

The "he" in question is myself, and I am telling you that you are both wrong and werid for assuming that.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:29 PM

None of your arguments are fully fleshed out, nor do they hold water. Any system or intuition that relies on reducing women to second class citizens is inherently flawed the moment you accept that women are people, so your romanticisation of it is frankly disgusting.

The absence of precise statistics from a time before systematic documentation was a thing isn't evidence that it was rare. What we do know is that adultery appears constantly throughout historical records, literature, court proceedings, legal codes, letters, and church documents, across cultures and centuries. Societies don't devote enormous legal and religious effort towards regulating behaviour that is vanishingly uncommon. It only works when it is both. You're projecting modern expectations b…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 11:48 AM

If you are under the impression that adultery wasn't incredibly common, you need to read more. Marriage was largely a buisness proposition moreso than a romantic bond. The difference today is that women do not need us in order to obtain stability, and social standing. That makes modern relationships inherently more romantic, and based in real trust as opposed to external enforcement. Today she doesn't choose you under pressure to secure her own livelyhood, looking for any suitable man in her cir…

I can't speak for you, but I'd argue that most men look for as many traits in their partners as women do. The difference being that many don't reflect about their expectations, and therefore don't consider them as such. Seeking value isn't antithetical to altruism btw. I give to charities because it is a good thing to do. It aligns with my values, and so for a moment it makes me feel like I am good. That has value, for me personally, but also for the recipients of said charity.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 09:59 PM

Getting something of value is the reason we do anything. That includes more abstract things like love, but for the longevity of a romantic relationship there are obviously many more factors to consider.

Indeed. And I think it goes beyond you becoming more fit (although I'm sure it contributed). You were focused, working towards something that mattered to you, living your life. I think most people can sense when there is a level of obsession there, and it's off-putting. I've been on the receiving end too, and it's really not appealing. It's much more interesting to be around someone who's got their own things going in, who doesn't desperately need your attention, but who might enjoy it if the vi…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 09:50 PM
2

I agree. Obsessing about someone, even if that means going to extreme lengths to avoid them, is never the answer. Get busy, enjoy being social. Suddenly you'll realise that you can't remember the last time you thought about her. In my case there was also realising that we were incompatible anyway, that I had been projecting certain things onto her before really knowing her. We live and learn 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 08:32 PM

Pretty long. 5-6 months or so, apart from large group settings where I'd just greet her but then focus on other friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 09:51 AM

Yeah, I know many people on either side of this, and I think it works very well as long as you see people as people and not simply romantic pursuits.

It's almost as if the men who end up in relationships have something to offer 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 07:00 PM
14

Yeah that's fucked up. What I don't get is why some guys even want to have sex with a woman who's expressing disinterest. There is absolutely nothing appealing about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 06:42 PM
23

So this happened to me. I shared with a friend that I had a crush in her. She didn't feel the same way and that did hurt, ngl. I took a step back but after a while we got back in touch. I completely got over her since and we're good friends today. That break did do a world of good though, but I'm really glad we're still friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 06:12 PM

You should have made this a question exclusively for women if you weren't interested in input from other men. I speak based on conversions with my sisters, friends and partners. If a woman here thinks that I am speaking out of my ass, she's welcome to say so. To your point, I know how else I can spoon feed it to you any more that it is inherently flattening, lacking in any complexity or nuance. Attention is too broad a term for your assertion to be accurate. If you specifically mean superficial …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 08:48 AM
2

My point is that your point is BS. The vast majority of the attention that (mostly young and relatively attractive) women get is superficial and crass. So if you treat her with decency, maybe some curiosity, your attention might actually mean more to her than the equivalent attention would to a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 08:36 AM

You enjoy a strawman I see. Two can play that gane game. You think animated CP is no worse than Twilight? That's pretty concerning. Someone should look through your devices.

Anime is criticized for blatantly sexualising characters that look like little kids with the excuse that "actually they're 1000 years old". So if you enjoy that stuff it raises a massive red flag, naturally. Meanwhile Robert Pattonson was an adult when Twilight was filmed. And still, people do criticize the age gap.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 10:47 PM

you could say that
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 05:22 PM

My best relationship experiences have been friendships first. And in my experience, women don't mind a friend expressing romantic interest, as long as it doesn't come with pressure, expectations or drastic changes in behavior on your part. Just be a decent friend and you'll be fine.
