And, now that I’ve read what you’ve written and it started with ‘and women are vulnerable’ can you see how they get played, too? This is so black and white it undermines whatever good points you could have made. Maybe start with ‘some women’ and ‘some men’. We’re not all out here lying and scheming. Being completely vulnerable is truly awful.

I could have written this verbatim. I wish I had an easy answer. Sadly, I don’t. Married to someone for 16 years and I cringe every anniversary, birthday, or holiday because I’m mostly or completely overlooked and forgotten. Female perspective here, but when a guy shows interest and doesn’t get the applause/response/attention he wants right away and disappears... I’m relieved.
