I'd like to see this area of research expanded, because although I'm far from being sceptical this is still WAY more parity than I expected. It makes sense though, once you recognize rape isn't just a "physically dominant" act and can occur via coercion or deceit.

Remember the vast majority of Ukrainian deserters and refugees in the west are jobbers, not sons of oligarch. Those guys go to LA or Dubai and spend the bread their dads are making off this war in style. Most who are drawing benefits, are just escaping the shit show in their country.

And nature - with no laws or inherent balance of power - promotes love? Even the Neolithics warred on each other, thousands of years before formal governments.

LLMs are garbage in and garbage out- considering the state of discourse on this topic, I don't know how it could be any other way.

Yeah, based on this definition I'll disagree. Women lean liberal, but it's not like a 70-30 split or something where I would believe most women feel that way. A significant population of women are looking for exactly that kind of man; someone with socially conservative beliefs in addition to the more generic markers of attraction. As to the controlling part, I feel this is unnecessary gendering of something nobody likes. Being "controlling" or "overbearing" is just a generally negative trait lik…

I mean I agree that for many good reasons, we need to maintain the focus on fighting FOR men's rights, not AGAINST feminism. Not because feminism is that popular at ground level (it's really not, and less now than ever). Rather, because the political ideology of feminism is extremely entrenched in the intelligentsia who control the levers of social engineering in countries around the world. You just can't swim upstream of the people you need to fund and legitimize you- especially if they can als…

Yeah, once you accept that mere criticism of feminism counts as misogyny, you've adopted the worldview of a particularly simple child. "If you disagree with me, you are EVIL."

I think you misunderstand my comment. I consider incel to have become a slur for "man I don't like" that has lost all meaning and is only an insult. Furthermore, I don't think this sub is an incel sub. Perhaps I should have put "incel conspiracy" in quotes? Does that make my meaning more clear?

Understood- what is your issue with the sub? You can DM if you'd prefer, I'm interested.

Look you seem kinda lefty so let me share some cultural insight you might be interested in; black people say "female" and "men" in the same sentence all the time. Source- me a black person. Because of the popularity of black vernacular on social media (cringy but inevitable), now a lot of people use that phrasing as a result, not because hate for women is on the rise. They're not necessarily connected like that. Not everything is an incel conspiracy, some men just speak in that dialect.

To be pedantic, human or "natural" rights also "don't exist," ; but they are hardly irrelevant to this topic. Like intrinsic value, the concept of human rights is simply a framework to describe how things "ought" to be and as a moral goal to aspire to. You might not like the concept, but it's as "real" as anything else. Men/women are not a monolith. People may or may not be butthurt when they trot that line out, but it's a much safer and truer statement than the hilariously broad generalities I …

You're right- it's not about equality, and it shouldn't be. It's not about harmonizing with feminist theory. It's not about getting a girlfriend. It's about asserting men's right to liberty and happiness that is (and has historically) been trampled by society. It's a defense of our dignity, our hopes, dreams, feelings and aspirations. It's our in-group advocacy arising in response to increasing social dysfunction regarding our gender. It's about recognizing the intrinsic value of men's lives WIT…

I actually see where both of you are coming from here. I personally do not have or make emotional investment into political causes (to the best of my ability), so it's easy for me to look at feminist-flavored hypocrisy with quiet contempt while speaking very politely about the topic at hand. I agree with OP this is the best way to promote men's rights, and keep the emphasis on a rational moral framework for such. Making new partners, rather than just dueling with old enemies. However not everyon…

For the record, I doubt this. It's just different things that we are gullible about. Think of crypto pump and dumps, sports betting, or sex work in general. I do think women do appear more gullible to us because of the fact we are susceptible to different things, but perception is not reality.

You are correct -any man still looking to an ideology or political group to save them in 2026, is bound to be sorely disappointed. Conservatives are not special in this regard, and indeed they support such a passionless belief system these days. If you don't feel particularly antagonized by "The Left," there's literally nothing of substance there for you other than servitude- whether to the government, the family or the church.

This is the hard part to swallow but it's quite true. The pathetic simpering that is so often on display from certain fellow men... Well how can you expect the women to act? If you know that you can just waltz down to the bar and get free drinks... If you haven't even opened the app yet and dozens of dudes are ready to take you out to a high end restaurant for free... When you don't even ask and they are showering you with presents... When your supervisor spends all day hovering over your desk a…

Yeah I agree people on Reddit treat this like a gendered thing but it's not. Regardless of gender, if someone says their ex is crazy I take them at face value like anything else. If that same person claims that ALL their ex's were crazy, I assume that at minimum that person is also crazy lol.

I am more lefty than right- especially these days - so I don't have an inherent issue with feminism conceptually but I still gotta disagree here. Quite apart from the "official" definition or the self-identification of various "no true Scotsmen" feminists on Reddit, here is what feminism "truly" is; it's the woman's lobby. By virtue of their advocacy for women as a class, they CANNOT possibly fairly or reasonably represent men- that's the job of a (purely hypothetical) men's lobby. In the curren…

Let's not get too crazed by rage-bait cannibal porn- I've been on the Internet long enough to know there's plenty of the reverse of this out there. Should feminists get triggered by weird online porn and then treat real men badly as a result? Supporting your fellow men with your business on the other hand sounds like a great idea.

This is it in a nutshell. Also OP, being disabled means - from a military perspective - conscripting you is more trouble than it's worth, right out of the gate.

I've had good results discussing this with my on- again/off- again ex girlfriend. To be fair, she already works with troubled youth and multiple juvie facilities, so she's familiar with the problems men face from a young age. We have a kind of reciprocal system where we follow simple rules to discuss gender topics in general (breaking the rules usually breaks the convo too): 1) Listen to understand the other side's problems- not to contradict. If they are presenting it to you, it is something th…

It's actually mostly no one who gets attacked, statistically. Barely any women get snatched off the street in the first place, that is the key point that gets overlooked. These kinds of crimes do not constitute a "crisis" they are just overdramatized because sensational sells. In reality, vast majority of rape and abuse are by trusted family and friends in a context where it is actually not realistic for the woman to anticipate anything and the man already knows what he's doing is wrong. It seem…

You're not wrong- but with the exception of immigration, it seems like most of the madness is occurring with full-throated consent from both British public institutions and the masses. So, as an American, I can only cringe and go back to considering my country's various clusters.

Ideally, you are absolutely right. In today's hyper-moral panicked climate? I'm not sure if there are any competent public institutions, much less schools, that operate like that...

Believe me when I say, short of a brainwashing miracle, these interventions are going to have either no effect, or cause these boys to actually hate women.

To be fair, that's what school is. Kids can and should be indoctrinated - nobody actually believes that they grow up "just fine" without some enforced values. Too bad it's a bunch of ideological mish-mush that will probably have the same success as something like DARE did with drugs...

There are pros and cons to all gendered treatment. I like to look at the outcomes to see if some areas are more serious for one gender than others. In this case, let's assume the gendered status quo is what you described - men are shamed for needing support (broke/weak men don't deserve XYZ), while women are perceived as dependent and immature (not as capable at work). For the women in this scenario, their basic needs are already guaranteed- it's primarily their ability to "win more" that is dam…

Let's not get all feminist-y with our own rhetoric gentlemen; why can't male feminists BOTH believe in the philosophical garbage (which is aggressively mainstreamed in both work and entertainment settings) AND have a strong personal incentive to shamelessly ingratiate themselves to women for sex? I mean, the majority of supporters of a given ideology frequently have a relatively low level of understanding and support for the things that are important to them. Being a feminist man today is like b…
