| 14 | Women when a women expresses a preference: she can have whatever standards she wants. Women when men express a preference: he's misogynistic, insecure ect...and men need to “man up” and deal with it. Couldn't possibly disagree more. Humans evolve. Pretty much every other primate throws their shit around or does something similarly animalistic. Should we say "fuck it" to those traits too and start behaving like that? We've evolved. To treat men like we're hunter/gathers and women like babymakers/property is to devolve. Men in today's time are unhappy because as a society we've consciously expanded beyond the simplistic animalistic mentalities of stru… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/09/22 10:13 PM |
| 1 | Is holding the opinion “men and women are abused at similar rates” a red flag in a guy. Why?Very much so. Just a way for him to sell books | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/09/22 01:19 PM |
| 2 | Is holding the opinion “men and women are abused at similar rates” a red flag in a guy. Why?In many ways it's like astrology. It lets the bias-loving part of your brain have free playtime to put people into made-up categories that you already wanted them to be in. This. Couldn't have said it better myself. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/09/22 01:18 PM |
| 11 | Is holding the opinion “men and women are abused at similar rates” a red flag in a guy. Why?The problem with this video and these type of breakdowns is that the behaviors described throughout are just vague enough to be able to apply to anyone you want them to. So if, for example, you're a woman watching this video (or reading the book that it's based off of) who has recently had a bad breakup with her ex, you can easily find an "abuser" type within it that fits him. Which is exactly how you sell books. What's funny is I can use the same abuser types to describe my exs (all women). Bec… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/09/22 07:57 PM |
| 12 | What is the worst thing about being a man?The problem is with gender roles, but thanks for the advice uncle ruckus. Yes I have a well paying job, and more of a passion than a hobby, but neither of those determine my value. Why would I want to get with a woman if she has nothing to offer me? Trust me, I don't expect to get what I don't give, and the energy I give out I expect to receive back. But because of gender norms, in the beginning of dating many are used to simply receiving. And I don't play that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 04:34 AM |
| 4 | CMV: I don't think men are "bad at communicating" like we women often tell each other. I think this stereotype is false and men are fantastic communicators... when they want to be. I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.Not saying communicating is incorrect. But you learn to turn it off until you're with someone who makes you feel comfortable enough to express it. Which would definitely not be people like you who think it's okay to throw someone's secret in their face during an argument. Things like that is why the divorce rate is going up again. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 04:03 AM |

I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.Lmao there's the same level of context in both. You don't throw someone's secret in their face during an argument. Period. The fact you're defending the examples you gave when it's being done to men tells me all I need to know about the integrity of your argument. I don't know what's made you so obsessed with trying to prove women do no wrong, but it doesn't change the facts. Both men and women engage in shitty behavior towards each other. Specifically due to toxic gender roles. In this thread m… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 03:36 AM |

I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.So now you need to know the secrets and contexts, and even then you're pre-building a defense for women you don't even know by stating "arguments between couples can be brutal from both parties". I guarantee if a woman had wrote a comment about a man criticizing his wife's body in public you wouldn't be asking the poster for "exactly what was said" and the "context" and that "sometimes judgements in a relationship can be brutal by both parties." Lol pathetic. And ftr I never stated women "can't … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 03:18 AM |

I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.The refusal to recognize the male experience on this is your mistake, but it doesn't take away from the validity of our shared experience. I specified before how I've seen this in many of the married guys I know. Along with my guy friends in relationships. Along with my single guy friends. I've witnessed married women throw a secret back in their husband's faces during an argument. How do you think that affected his desire to open up after that? I also have a lot of female friends who say shit l… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 02:57 AM |

I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.What's odd to me is the constant fall back to "turn off". The greatest fear men have in opening up is women will be less likely to fuck them? Is that... it? This is almost purposely deceptive. No one wants to be unattractive, and attraction is not all about sex. It has nothing to do with what women want and everything to do with what men want. Because apparently you've never been a man who has been emotionally vulnerable around multiple women and seen the result. There's a reason guys are agreei… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 02:06 AM |
| 7 | What is the worst thing about being a man?Thank you. I definitely know it's not all. I think as society changes it won't even be most. We're just in a weird time right now where we all know these roles are regressive, but subconsciously we are attracted to what we're attracted to. I don't blame the women who play into the system. I blame the system. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 01:39 AM |

I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.Where the theory of turning off women goes to pot is you know who says this the most? Married women. You're saying the women who most often say they want men to communicate more are married women? You mean the women who dated, engaged, and then married men who were not highly communicative and openly emotional? Crazy. I wonder how they managed to spend so many years of their life being attracted to and falling in love with someone like that? /s Most women like a tiny amount of emotional availabi… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 01:33 AM |
| 16 | What is the worst thing about being a man?I'm actually not looking for them to follow gender roles. I edited the post to make that a little more clear. I'm looking for them to behave like decent adults and require that I behave the same way. I think gender roles on both sides are regressive and self-destructive. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/09/22 01:06 AM |

| 73 | What is the worst thing about being a man?The difficulty in finding a woman who doesn't partake in gender roles. I've met hardcore feminists who still expect you to play the role of the "man" even though they're not playing the role of the "woman" (i.e. everyone's a feminist until there's a spider around). I don't want them to behave within gendered lines, but the hypocrisy in wanting me to while they don't gets tiring quick. And trying to date outside the screwed up gender-norm based dating structure is hell sometimes. Even the women w… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/09/22 10:29 PM |

I think most men, however, are bad at pretending to care about things they don't.Most men learn early on that communicating a lot is a bad thing. For example, you want the guy who is not texting you back to text you. You don't even think about some guy who texts immediately, or the guy you yourself haven't texted back. I'm not saying it's a game or some weird sense of "revenge". What it actually is is learned behavior. As a man when you express your emotions and feelings and that becomes a "turn off" for a woman, you learn to avoid those behaviors with future women.
