That's a very good point. What if every time society advances far enough for space travel, it collapses and the whole thing begins again?

After my parents divorced, my mum has fully taken advantage of child support payments (very little has gone to me or my sister) and she hasn't been a great parent either (she takes her anger out on my sister when she's home and I'm not around). I thought my mum was kind and intelligent, but that doesn't count for much.

No, that won't work too well. Simplest thing to say is "I just haven't found the right one yet".

Perhaps. I've heard that bleaching and skin lightening creams are used in India, although I'm not sure how common it is.

I'm in the UK and I think it has been massively over-hyped. Destroying the economy and the working lives of many people seems completely overkill. That said, bumping off 1% of the population at once won't turn out too well since we probably don't have the capacity to cremate/bury that many. I guess the people in power have been cautious, but then they broke their own social distancing rules. Rules for us and not for them? It's ridiculous.

It's a Renault Megane mk2 Convertible. Probably more of a hairdressers car but I love it. Except changing the headlight bulbs.

For things you can fix, yes. I've had a great time working on my car with my Dad. Important life skills.

Can't say about women myself, but I bought my car with 110k miles and it's still going strong. It has needed some maintenance, but that's to be expected.

Unfortunately it turns out that cars are rather useful, especially when transporting stuff. Renting is a waste of money. What are you proposing? Living in a tent in the woods?

Christ, a sensible minimum buffer would be to not work for a year. Two months is not long, and probably won't help you cover many surprise expenses.

A decent slow-cooker that'll hold 4 portions, a good wooden chopping board, and perhaps a rice cooker. These are things I haven't seen mentioned. Also important are decent pots and pans.

No idea if you've got any free time, but a lot of us like to find a hobby or some projects to work on. Something to look forward to and mess around with in the weekends. Work might not be great, but make the most of it by at least enjoying something you can do with a bit of the money you've earnt.

Just... Fuck. That's terrible. If he doesn't take his own life, I'd be impressed. I just hope he has some friends he can rely on, but it's possible that his wife has alienated all of them. I can send him my best wishes but I'm completely unable to help.

It was either that or potential mass starvation. They've now got food, but also an imbalanced population with many more males than females. The lack of children being born now may be due to this, but also other factors like rising housing costs and raising children becoming too expensive. The rest of the developed world will likely be in a similar position soon.

Welcome! Glad you found us, and I hope you're OK. You're going to be in for a fun ride, but you'll be fine. The important thing is to find stuff you enjoy so you can have fun. After all, what is the point of life if its miserable? You'll see some of us warn you not to get angry. We call that the red-pill rage. It's a real thing - accepting things the way they are can be difficult. Don't do anything rash and get yourself in trouble. After a while you'll calm down and make your peace. After all th…

Indeed. I dislike Trump and think he's a blithering idiot, but the fact that tech companies are interfering like this just show how broken society is. The internet is a communication platform. If everyone has free speech, then you wouldn't have to block or censor anyone. I can't see why social media platforms are held responsible for people messaging each other - one way or another, people will communicate.

You've got to realise that now you're different to how you were back then. You've changed, see things from a different perspective, and have the advantage of hindsight. Nobody gets everything right, and in our cases, often get a lot of things wrong. Knowing you would do things differently now means you've improved as a person, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. The hardest thing to do is accept you can't change the past, and what you thought was a good course of action then didn't turn out to …

Even if global warming is not caused by humanity as much as the media makes it out to be, the issues of deforestation and pollution are still here. Oil spills are really bad for the environment. I also don't like seeing litter out in the countryside. But the hate against nuclear? I don't get it. Its actually safe, provided you don't disable all safety measures, and it's also safe if you don't build a nuclear reactor in a place prone to earthquakes and tsunamis then only design to protect against…

Yep, just wanting the ceremony is entirely missing the point of marriage. Marriage is supposed to be a life-long commitment, through ups and downs, helping each other live a better life. Making a lifelong commitment just for an expensive party is not the point at all. Then when it's over, she can get her hands on his money.

Hey, we've all been here. You have to accept the truth, and build up from there. I know all your life plans have pretty much gone out the window, but you'll be fine, if not better off, without a woman. For the time being, don't do anything too rash and get yourself in trouble. Just slowly start backing away. Now might also be a good time to think about hobbies or catch up with mates!

That doesn't explain the random fluctuations. For example, if a post has 80 upvotes, each time I refresh it will randomly show anything from, say, 75 to 85. Sure, caching and process queues are likely in use, but I think there's a little more to this than just that.

Sounds similar to me. Yeah, that whole family thing went out the window when I had my eyes opened to the world. Seeing my mother do the same things I was warned about here really cemented that in. I haven't told my parents outright that I don't want to have kids, but I've hinted. They still don't get it and that's fine. If things do get heated, I'm hoping I'll be in the position to give them a bit of space. Ah well, only time will tell. At least we won't be gambling with marriage.

It depends if you keep that money out in cash, or invest it. Money not doing anything is pretty much money wasted, so make it work for you. Investing is a good idea and can earn you money without any effort. An easy method would be to invest in some funds, which will usually grow in value over time and can perform quite reliably.

Today has been hilarious on Reddit because there have been a lot of posts about it being Men's Day. There are a lot of trolls (and presumably angry feminists) who seem to be annoyed about this. The general consensus is that these feminists are annoying and are being downvoted a lot. It's nice to see that we have some support.

I can't believe they would ban abortion of heavily disabled fetuses. Do they want to bring new people into the world who will know a life of suffering and confusion? I don't want to say I'm a fan of eugenics, but surely parents would rather have 'normal' children? And I guess given the chance, they're out their protesting against their government. Just hijacking the protests.

Pretty much how I feel these days. But I also remember how I felt before. They've spent their whole lives expecting to be with someone, made life plans to share with a partner, taken on a responsibility to have a relationship. We're taught that this will make us happy and give our lives meaning. Our families expect us to find someone and if we don't, we're seen as failures. To turn your back on your upbringing and your life so far is a massive undertaking. It's basically akin to embracing failur…

I'd agree with you - a lot of people either don't get it or just don't care. We're told this happens to just a select few men and brainwashed into thinking this makes them pathetic. Now to me, being abused doesn't make sense - I have my independence, I don't rely on anyone and I have some money. But imagine you don't have any financial independence, no friends or family, or any sort of support. Yeah, the MeToo movement did get out of hand. I appreciate that some predators were caught, but it just descended into madness with false accusations being flung everywhere. Being completely ghosted is more of a blessing than you realise, as it saves you from all the fighting. I think the issue is that some women can get away with just relying on being a woman. You get used to the easy life, and then you find hard work more difficult. I've noticed this in myself, where my work load for the past few months has reduced and now I'm finding that busy days are more tiring. Being in this situation for a decade would make it extremely hard to snap out of, and I'm sure I'd be pretty grumpy about it.

Nah, the technology sector is making a big push to get more women. Women are offered awards and bursaries to simply start working in tech. They will probably get promoted faster too. Right from the start, they are winning. A thousand competent men could throw themselves at the door, but if there is just one woman there, she will be the first to get through. Then the normal hiring regime resumes. Somehow, women just aren't that keen on tech and computers. There is so much opportunity there. I gue…

It's alright to love someone. You just need to know that they will only love you while it's your turn. With the whole online dating thing and sleeping with a bunch of guys, I wouldn't be surprised if each turn is shorter than the last one. Basically this puts marriage as a definite no-no.

Condoms will clog up the sewers and treatment plants. Same as wet wipes which contain plastic.

I'll leave out of principal, but it won't make a difference to Reddit. They don't care.

Solid advice. For the risk averse, it's not worth it.

Definitely a good bunch of redpills in there. It's sad because it is true. When I was depressed in the past, I weaponised it to basically isolate myself from everyone else. By acting miserable and then telling someone, they quite quickly avoid you, leaving you alone. It's what I wanted, but not what I needed. It sucks.

Doing well! Got tomorrow off, so I'll be attempting to make some speaker enclosures to improve the sound in my car.

If you have a noisy computer, invest in some quiet fans (maybe not for laptops). A decent pair of earphones to take with you on your travels. Replacing those horrific fluorescent lights with some filament LED ones. A raspberry pi to run pihole. Buy a few of your favourite films on DVD/Blu-ray because you never know when they'll disappear from the streaming services.

Honestly he sounds like an asshole. I can sort of see where he's coming from, but I don't believe in being a piece of shit. I agree with the girl about him potentially having a mental illness as well. However, you have to bear in mind this is a very one sided view from a woman where only the bad stuff is talked about. Without seeing the other side of it, I can't make a decision. Just play it cool, and don't put yourself in a position where women can take advantage of you.

If you can make money off of it, it's good business. Doesn't mean it is the right thing to do though, I'll give you that.

The security industry is where I am, and it's looking pretty good. Get a few years of experience, get your certifications, and you have the option to do contract work for good pay. The simping is crazy though, and the safe way to play it is to avoid any non-work discussion with the wahmen. They will bring up the gender wage gap and all that bullshit, and just argue with you even though they are wrong.

They're all cheering the girls on for having a job in the tech industry. Just for existing. Hell, if I changed gender I'd be given a bursary, plenty of attention, be enrolled for award ceremonies and get away with being incompetent.

Eh, similar to what I've seen at work here in the UK - most of us young whippersnappers are simps. I think they're honestly perplexed that I don't worship women.

Same here, really. When I was younger I did have this most awesome gecko watch with a backlight, but I lost it somewhere and never found one exactly like it since.

When I last saw the subs for MGTOW before it got quarantined, we were pushing on for 130k subs. For every marriage, there's a man who learns to avoid them.

A few of my fave albums are Lung - Wait Less Suspense, Anile - Perspective, Andrew Bayer - If it were you we'd never leave (a bit of love stuff but generally a chill album and I really like it). A few other Artists include The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Pendulum, Chase and Status, Eminem... And probably most of the Hospital Records lineup. Then we've got mixes on sound cloud. I usually listen to The Grand Sound, Sound Territory, and occasionally stuff like Universal Soundz. There's too much…

I guess I didn't think that part through... But the "us and them" mentality is there. We've got us mgtows, the blue-pilled, and the women. I'm not sure we all want the same thing.
/r/MGTOW26/04/20 10:04 AM

I've been thinking recently how we evolved far beyond monkies, with our toolmaking abilities and innate understanding of how to turn pretty much anything into a weapon. I think we've still got the instincts to fight the 'other tribes', and that's why we keep going at it with each other. When only the strongest tribes survive, that drives the evolution towards superior thinking. Now we're trying to overcome this, much like our attraction to women.

Fixed an old rotivator yesterday, first time running in about 7 years. That was pretty cool. I guess the next steps are to fix the leaking fuel valve and change the engine oil.

I've never kissed or had a relationship either. I'm past that now. After making peace with the acceptance of being different, realising that nobody (aside from parents perhaps) gives a toss, I began building it back up from there. My mission in life is to enjoy as much as I can reasonably enjoy, and minimise the bad. I don't worry about having a relationship because I'm happy anyway.
/r/MGTOW24/04/20 10:59 AM

That's very well put. I think I'm in that second stage at the moment. I fantasise about being with a girl occasionally, but when they're actually around, I'm just not interested. If I talk to them, I usually laugh inside because they rarely, if ever, talk meaningfully about something interesting. They're all so shallow and superficial.

I never felt alone because I have friends I can chill with on the weekends. But it sure does take a while to reprocess everything and try to make sense of it all. After that, I started to realise how free I really was. Sure, I'm tied down by the usual financial stuff, but otherwise and free to do what I want when I feel like it.

She'll need to go to the dentist at some point, and I just hope it's after she becomes independent so you and the rest of your family don't have to deal with it. Hopefully you'll get the last laugh!

I have to say, I think embracing a little bit of narcissism and self love can do wonders.
/r/MGTOW07/03/20 09:33 PM

For me it's a bit different... I haven't actually gone on a full relationship, but I've seen all the issues that other people have had. My parents, their new partners, issues with them too, friends, relatives. Much like how a vegetarian avoids sausages because they want to prevent animals suffering, I now avoid girls because I want to prevent my own suffering. Sure, sausages taste nice, but if you're a veggie, you aren't avoiding them because of the taste.
/r/MGTOW07/03/20 09:30 PM

That's a very good point. I imagine heavy eyeliner could skew the appearance of the eyes, which might be enough to throw it off. Or perhaps it also tries to match skin tone... I don't know enough to say.
/r/MGTOW05/03/20 07:18 PM

But it's not all shit. Most things are pretty awesome, just not diseases, and annoying animals (humans included). You can get lost in the shitness though, I give you that.

Perhaps I'm as thick as two short planks. Who knows? As long as I'm happy, all is well.

That's crazy. Things aren't fine unless I fix them, I don't get things for free and I have to work for all the money I get. But it works for me, and I'm not angry. Things are peachy.

It's alright to feel rubbish for now, but I hope in time you'll feel better. If she had pulled a horrific stunt, you would feel a lot worse. Now that you've probably got a lot more time to yourself, try and find some hobbies - stuff you like. That'll give you something fun to do outside of work. I hope all goes well and good luck!

It's sort of similar to that Rick and Morty episode with the violent male aliens that get the sex robots while the women actually have a civilisation. Except it seems to be reversed here.

There's a reason many of them look for a sense of humour in their partners - they can't keep themselves entertained and happy.

Nah the CPU won't burn out if the fan stops working, but it'll get toasty for sure. You'll see it thermally throttling to oblivion and back.

It might be a bit rebellious, but I think the main goal is to basically do what you want to do, and maximise enjoyment in life. That's what I see, anyway. As long as we aren't causing harm to others, what's the issue?
