| – | Given that abusive, manipulative women seek out vulnerable, lonely men for relationships so they can have someone to abuse, why do lonely men report tend to report getting zero female attention whatsoever, instead of attention from said women?Probably some male gender stigma around “weakness” and abuse. It’s happening, but there’s a lot to unpack when it comes to men talking about any sort of abuse. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/24 04:39 PM |
Why is the term “partner” EVERYWHEREAgreed! But for those who want to wait to live together, more power to you. Ultimately, whatever works for you and your ahem partnerhusbandwifeboyfriendgirlfriend | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/24 04:35 PM
Why is the term “partner” EVERYWHEREBecause we’re all going to hell! Didn’t you get the memo? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/24 04:33 PM
Why is the term “partner” EVERYWHEREOr he respects the fuck out of her and thinks “girlfriend” sounds too trite to properly convey his feelings for her and the depth of their relationship. Or he can’t get her wet. It’s absolutely one of the two. There is no middle ground on this. [sarcasm] | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/24 04:31 PM
Why is the term “partner” EVERYWHEREIt can be both, ya know. You can have reservations about marriage while in a long term committed and respectful relationship. I.e. “I love you and I’m in this with you, but I can’t marry you until you’ve seriously addressed your substance abuse issues.” Meanwhile, the supportive partner doesn’t want to be called “boyfriend” after many years of care and commitment. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/24 04:29 PM
Why is the term “partner” EVERYWHEREI have utterly no clue why people don’t take a cue from the person speaking/writing. They refer to their spouse as husband/wife? Follow suit. However, why it got into straight cis lexicon is because straight people started using it to normalize the term and be inclusive. Gay couples in LTR couldn’t legally get the respect they deserved with the titles husband/wife. Not having a shared language to term what’s considered a legitimate and meaningful relationship is marginalizing and feels like crap… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/24 04:24 PM
