I disagree about just giving him the pill, even doctors start with small dosages and gradually increase until they find the optimum dose. Married and miserable = His wife is a horrible money spender and he's always in debt. My friend sadly isn't gonna pay for a movie about how men are screwed, he's not even gonna pirate it. Even if I give him the movie, he's not gonna sit through it, therefore I need a more subtle and indirect approach, and that's why I specified in the original post "non-hostile". Mutual friends have the same fear about him but we don't want to cross the line and intrude in his private life.
