I guess I would think the same way and agree with some feminist ideas and disagree with others. But I'm not an activist and if I'm not doing anything wouldn't call myself a Feminist. Probably stay purple pill. Average to somewhat attractive. Physically attractive but somewhat pretty and I would still be shy. No I would not. In highschool I would be afraid of getting a girl pregnant and too afraid to have gay sex. I would still be bi. I would be focused on school in college and would probably be …

I've only known about 3 guys having a crush on me. The first was in middle school; he was in my class but we never talked and I remember he had bad eczema so would consider him a 4 in looks. I turned him down and don't think I would be flattered now by an unattractive guy I didn't know very well asking me out. The other guys were in high school. A guy I didn't know asked me out and I would consider him a 7 in looks. I was surprised by someone I didn't know talking to me and just felt nervous abo…

The guy whose been away from his wife for a long time is missing out on sex but for a lot of people distance can reignite passion, so when they do see each other the sex could be more exciting. I don't wish I was a different kind of person, but I'm working on making changes to my image. I'd like to gain weight and exercise to get more fit for one. I've actually become more image conscious recently, but I don't see it as a problem. I'm setting a higher standard for myself.

I don't see the reason for anyone to get married if they don't want to have children together. I don't care that other people do it anyway, but that is the only reason I would get married. I know that people want social recognition of their relationship and to make a promise to one another, but I don't see these things as practical.

32 out of 36 21, Female, Native English Speaker I've taken this test before and remember getting a similar result. I think I got a lot of these right by process of elimination. I'm not a social person and spend a lot of time alone but do think I read social cues fairly well.

I kind of agree with you but not by your reasoning. Abstinence only education is bad because it leads to more unsafe sex, so more STDs and unwanted pregnancies. I wouldn't call sex a need, but support legalizing prostitution because it would be safer for all people involved to have it regulated.

It's never been something I worry about. I'd probably feel more insecure if I were a guy, because sex is seen as more of an accomplishment for men. The first time shouldn't be glorified the way it is when for so many people the first time sucks. Particularly for women though. I think it could help build confidence for a guy to have his first time with a high end sex worker. He might be able to approach women better after. But doing it regularly and safely isn't feasible unless you have a lot of …

The second for an interesting story. I'm not good at lying but the rumor would be more amusing. The first. I'm not that picky about looks so I don't really have an ideal 10. The first. Not very interested in PIV. The first. The second. I don't like a lot of attention. I don't get catcalled and wouldn't like to be. F/21/Purple

The law makes drinking more alluring for underage people. Older teens manage to drink a lot despite the law, but the law does make it more difficult and limit the behavior to some extent. We have the law because 16-20 year old's are more likely to drink and drive. I think it would help the problem more to have a higher driving age and lower drinking age, so that young people are more responsible with alcohol by the time they start driving.

I don't know much about greek life but I think its fine they exist. But the problems they are known for and get bad publicity over are persistent, so there is clearly something wrong with the system. I wouldn't join a gender segregated group. I think single-sex spaces are okay for a bit, but with fraternities and sororities you surround yourself with those people. A lot of fraternities are co-ed now. Especially the career oriented ones. Frats and sororities that are more social and activity focu…

It probably depends on how impulsive she is. I think I'm fairly attractive and have a nice personality but am very introverted and have never pursued a relationship. I've been approached by guys before, but not by that many. So I don't think a woman would be overwhelmed by attention if she doesn't put herself out there. I'm 21, for context. I don't think very many people are like me though. A lot of introverts are willing to put themselves out there or have a stronger desire for a relationship. …

Don't think he was ever PUA, just a Frat guy. One of their icons though, but it seems he's taken a more serious turn with his writing and has come out directly badmouthing them.

http://thematinggrounds.com/about-mating-grounds/ These guys' methods seem pretty purple pill to me. If all you want is dating advice and help understanding women I think this would work for you. But RP stuff seems to be about more than that. A lot of you guys want to feel superior it seems, and have a lot of hatred over your past experiences. I honestly feel that there is no right way to find a relationship or sex because it depends on the kind of person you are looking for. What's definitely n…

That 1 in 5 number is for women having trouble conceiving and go to the doctor for help, not severe problems. You can't even say its all because of the woman's fertility because older women are usually paired with older men and they could be contributing to the issues. When a woman is younger she gets pregnant a lot quicker. Figures for women aged 30 to 34 and aged 35 to 39 show that 94 per cent and 90 per cent are able to conceive within two years, respectively. Overall, for couples trying to c…

I guess I heard of RP before but never looked into it myself. I know about this place from following MRA stuff. My position on these issues come from reading or hearing about them and have little to do with my personal experiences. I'm willing to call myself a Feminist even though I disagree with a lot of kinds of Feminist. If there was a group in between Liberal and Radical I think I would agree a lot with what they have to say. In general I find the former group to be crazy and the latter naiv…

I agree with comments saying that most women prefer someone in between what OP is talking about. Somewhere around a 15% BF. I think it takes a lot of effort to get below 10% so I wouldn't say not aiming for abs is being lazy. I would advise to aim for 15% and not 20% though. But I do see a difference between skinny fat and built fat. With a lot of muscle on you 20% looks fine but without it you look flabby.

I use it sometimes and wouldn't call it sexist myself but I have been trying not to use it so much since some women do say they don't like that. No one has told me that personally though.

I've never felt discouraged about being in STEM but very much the opposite. People are always complementing me for being in STEM. I've always enjoyed and have performed well in math and science, and this basic interest is why most people join STEM. The disproportionate numbers themselves may intimidate some women but that shouldn't completely stop people if they are interested. So I do think that even with the outreach we are doing there will be plenty of women who get more fulfillment from othe…

It's a problem because of the separation between domestic and public spheres of work. It's frustrating and odd to me because most people talk so much about supporting the family or family values but the work required to do so is not seen as serious work. At least it seems like things are moving in the right direction. On sexism in the work force we just have to be okay with people being different because gender differences do exist. So I believe we'll always have to deal with sexism. I don't see…

The unique aspect of identity that disadvantages people is discrimination and I understand that it plays a role in success. My individual experience probably leads me to believe that it plays a smaller role than other factors. It seems annoying when people boil down problems to class but in the US we live in a much more equal opportunity nation. Its a good thing that discrimination is no longer acceptable and given that it would make sense that class is primarily whats holding some groups back m…

But I feel like this logic is why people like to point to president Obama and say that racism is over. It simplifies the issue too much for me to talk about privilege in relation to identity. Discrimination certainly plays some role in determining success but even more important is knowing the right people, being born into wealth, having a supportive family, and getting an education.

I acknowledge that straight white cisgender men have less obstacles in their way than other groups but on the individual level I don't think its very useful to talk about privilege. I'm a bi black woman whose currently getting a bachelors degree in civil engineering. Honestly I have never faced serious obstacles in life so I would describe myself as quite privileged in comparison to plenty of straight white cis men who aren't living the comfortable life that I am.

I think its both. For the most part I do think a lot about gender is a learned performance that begins in childhood when kids feel the desire to differentiate themselves. So I think the predisposition is natural but a lot of the specific behavior is learned and replicated. I believe there have been studies that show gender differences in babies so some aspects are innate. And to your last two questions it would depend on the individual. My personal experience is growing up primarily with my moth…

My understanding of the law in Japan is that the constitution states that age of consent is 13 but different provinces have different ages for a law regarding the corruption of a minor so the real age of consent for adults trying to have sex with younger people is more like 16 or 17. Basically young teens are expected to have sex with each other.

Personally I have no interest in marriage or even ever having children, but I think everybody wants to and does get married for the same reasons. Its better to raise children in a marriage or at least a two parent household. Then you get benefits from the government. The driving force for most people though is probably that marriage is an instance of choosing to make someone your family and sharing your life with them. So such a commitment is seen as ideally romantic, and everybody seems to want…

If this is all about nature vs nurture isn't the answer that its a mixture of both and not just one or the other. That's what I think the article ultimately said and I agree with that sentiment.

What do you think of this article? http://everydayfeminism.com/2015/03/trans-people-gender-essentialism/ I believe this is the position of most modern feminist. I think the gender existentialism position is seen as incorrect by most feminist because it does not acknowledge people aside from male and female. The article above mentions how trans men are not always especially masculine and trans women not always especially feminine. Basically there are genderqueer people who are trans and this unde…

I am reminded by this question of an okcupid article about how men and women appraise attractiveness. http://blog.okcupid.com/index.php/your-looks-and-online-dating/ Women determined 80% of men to be below average in looks while men's appraisal of women was more evenly distributed. Also important to take away though is that women would actually message men closer to their idea of average while a large amount of men would message the most attractive women.

Many studies show that Women's lower body strength tends to be more closely matched to men's, while their upper body strength is often just half that of men's upper body strength

I think with gay men those paying for sex are mostly unattractive men who want sex from attractive men. Then I believe most clients are closet cases and married, so going to a sex worker is simpler and more secretive than pursuing an affair or even casual sex.

I don't fear the examples you brought up, but I do fear stuff like the quiverfull movement who are very explicit about trying to out-breed the world and doing it in an incredibly patriarchal way. Then again there are a significant amount of ex-quiverfull so the movement isn't that effective. Also I don't think feminism is all about telling people not to have babies. I think lower birth rate is more about children being less useful to parents in developed countries.

Apparently ethnic differences may affect how we should interpret BMI because of body fat differences (http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/obesity-prevention-source/ethnic-differences-in-bmi-and-disease-risk/) At the same weight Asian people (because of a higher fat percentage) have higher risk for diabetes than White people and Black people (because of a lower fat percentage and higher lean muscle mass) have a lower risk for diabetes than White people.
