Yeah I get your point. Personally, I never experienced being hooked up by a friend or doing that back, so I never got into this dynamic before. I've witnessed it though, and I can totally see how assumptions would be expected.

Gosh, such a dilemma! Scenario A: man with bad intentions pretends to be sad, woman wants to help, man uses woman Scenario B: man with good intentions shows that he is sad, woman is unsure to help, man feels offended I get this is just a common thing in a situation where a good thing is used wrongly, so it loses its value, but it's just sad to think how socially awkward things become when shit like this happens, and how common (since population has increased) and how aware it is because of the i…

I think the fact that its an online subculture thing, sounds sort of safe (like trolling?) given it does not become a public/real life thing. Maybe it has. I do recall a event in UK of people being killed by an "incel", so I guess awareness is coming about, but then that might make things so fucking awkward for those who 1) aren't hostile/resentful 2) choose to be celibate - I just imagine it woudl be those situations where a person wants to label the other person quickly, without listening to t…

Sorry to interrupt convo flow, but yeah its a metric thing at that point if trying to pair assumptions and it seems unlikely from the start. a Fat person and fit person doesn't seem compatible, but the fat person could be ready/willing to lose it and the fit person could be losing interest in working out etc. something like that

I get this - I've had conversations with someone similar to me, and it gets to a point where I want them to me the driving energy in the convo. I'll be able to feed off it well (there's reciprocation of course). It's a nice feeling when a female likes your pessimism/realism, but she continues being idealistic and, to me, eccentric.

Yeah, it’s keeping arousal up! It’s why foreplay and sex talk can be useful!
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/21 11:12 PM

I think it’s a first impression thing as opposed to a long term problem (when height is complained about online). If a person height affects their initial interactions like trust or interest, then it’s not a nice feeling. However, maybe people take that and talk about it online and expand it more than necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/21 11:08 PM

I had similar thoughts about this as well It’s just a downward zigzag of a female wanting a tall male, and a tall male wanting a short female Right until you enter midget territory
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/21 10:59 PM

It’s not a generalisation to all men, OP is mentioning the men in her life. That may be very limited and slightly shallow, but its their own experience. Nonetheless: I think someone said something about everyone complains, which is true. The people who take it far (send hateful commentary or do bad actions) are just too much of step ahead in the complaining territory. Ironically, I’ve spoken to females in my life who’ve complained about men and fail to check themselves. It’s just a thing that we…

I get what you’re saying, but I do think it comes down to the partner you are seeing. Chances of finding someone who cares about both, IS possible. The ones who have a narrow expectation on how a guy should be, is just their choice.

women say tall, dark & handsome When I read that, I thought of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UG6ER_ER8Gw

When I was on antidepressants, I would feel this as well when dating: the extra effort in trying to climax, but your body just doesnt want to engage.

I respect your relationship. You know what you do, he knows what he does. My partner has similar interest in beauty as I do, but I'm more on the extreme. I'll always point out when something isn't right aesthetic, on both our persons or our environment. They'll only do it when it's necessary (events etc.)

I like how you are owning it :D I'm imagining a scenario where you get caught, then you get slapped, and suddenly you stare at the camera with a smug face and it zooms in

I do wish I was with my childhood friend (both of us as adults lol) because it would’ve made a lovely story - likes each other since young And eventually married
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 02:15 PM

I used to think soul mates was a nice concept from beginning of dating/friendship, but I soon realised it’s nice to think of that at the end of it all

You know what, I agree with this. Although I am working against it (average face, good body, good amount of attention), I can see why a good face + average body can get away with things.

That’s the thing: I notice males looking handsome in their clothing sometimes, but I have to hesitate to comment because of how it might be received. Like... you look good, that’s all it is. I don’t have a need to fuck you in the ass or suck your tongue, I just notice good looks!

Yeah, I get what you’re saying here - I see tons of guys who look sharp in suits and attract women (rightfully so) but it doesn’t say much else about their body shape/type. I wear a fitted suit

That's the thing that boggles my mind with human population and personal experiences: you will find things like what you've said, but you'll also find the complete opposite. Due to media exposure and accessibility online, you may end up seeing the faces of said people you've mentioned (f-bois and gold diggers), but that doesn't mean it will always be like that. I do have a fear that it could end up like that (more of the same), but I have no fucking clue.

I'd say it's less competitive when it's online - larger numbers to deal with, but you can present yourself better (profiles) and prepare yourself for communication. However, I can imagine people get caught up with online dating and forget about the real world lol I'm from UK and I went to Spain. If it wasn't for online dating, I wouldn't have feel comfortable meeting someone like her, on my own accord!

Thanks, I didn't realise the typo. I get your point. Your focus is on the interaction itself, and the money just covers expenses (where doing it mutually means you both sort yourselves out). I should point out, I wouldn't stretch out dates if the person isn't compatible, out of desperation or hope (if they suck, it would only be a first date). But yeah, I would personally pay for them on the night, even when they are fucking rude and I don't want to see their face again. Maybe it's a personal th…

I agree with what you've said here, _lemazaki! I found that dating during education and workplace, wasn't common for me because, as you've said, I had to be better than the guys around me. There was competition and I wouldn't stand out, just because there was a lot of the "same types" that were being successful. I've attracted more females in other countries from internet dating, and even just the fact of going to different countries, because I broaden their perspective (and they did too). It's …

Wouldn't the woman accepting your offer for a first date, but be the return for your initiation? I've always wanted to pay for the dates, however many. If we are not compatible, I'll still pay for those dates (I just won't go out with her again, obviously). If she wants to dutch at some point, that would be a very nice gesture (I always appreciate that), but it's not on my mind. What's on my mind the whole time, is am I attracting her and does she attract me. The paying (to me), is the investmen…

I wouldn't know much about that to be honest. Regarding his reasons... yeah, I dunno... I get the random quickies in the moment (urges and what not), but with the way you wrote out how he wanted it, didn't seem like it was that

I guess there's reasons behind that, maybe psychological or otherwise, I don't know (and don't care that much) - however, if you are safe and you've learnt from it, then that's good to hear! Did he complain about the booze? Is that the reason he came empty handed?

All I'm going to say is, I heard this nearly happening before... when I heard about it, I was fucking shocked because it was manipulation 101.

I thought you were making an ironic comment about you being cold and coming over in the winter lol Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me. Even the fact that you would do that for him, surely would make him think "oh shit, yes, I'mma get some... what does she want from me, I better not fuck it up" (which sounds bad in itself, but it would at least cover the empty handedness thing) I don't approve of the cold and acting hurt thing anyway, considering it's an ex (I'm assuming they were a bad egg all …

that must be annoying actually. When you ask them and they still show up empty handed lol It's one thing having intuition, it's another thing not paying attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 10:43 PM

yeah, I think you got it spot on regarding spectrum and centre of curve. Its degrees of what can be understood in the moment and what each person has experienced themselves. Telling your partner your sexual history was with a prostitute, will raise questions, just because they (one asking) have not witnessed it as common in relationships. Similarly, a person with a high body count might raise questions because the one asking stayed celibate for a long while or dated partners with few body counts…

advice like that is empty if it comes from a subjective place OR a poor observation. Niceness does work, but yeah, other factors play a role: physical appearance, status (I know, not all the time), ethics etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 09:22 PM

yeah, and for some men/women, they want more of one of those things (or whatever else) because that becomes their personal preference. I think it's just a fact that people like more things in someone than others, and you either fit the bill or not.
