Actual body count discussion. How hot would someone need to be that you’d overlook them being a murderer?

Lol, I like how “the rest of your life” category starts in your mid-20s. In urban areas, there are a lot of people single and dating through their 30s and beyond. A 40 year old is going to have a higher count than a 25 year old.

How do you think you are going to find her? All the virgin women I know are religious and are looking to get married young to a religious man who is also young and is a virgin.

I don’t think they want the man to be a stay-at-home. I think they want the man to do 50% of the housework and childcare, if they are both working full time. Share all the burden equally.

Wait, I had no idea that cheating with a married woman was a common fetish for men. 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/24 05:04 AM

A lot of the “adventurous” stuff physically hurts. The main complaint I hear from women about anal is that it hurts, either while they are doing it or the next day or the next time they use the bathroom. Choking is very dangerous and, while some women are into it, a lot of women are rightfully scared of it. A lot of porn actresses have physical problems from the rough stuff they put their bodies through, and yet women are considered vanilla if they are not interested in doing the same.

No one should ever be encouraged to consider getting fat, it’s a major public heath issue. And most of today’s makeup is not terrible for your skin, a lot of it contains SPF and is protective of your skin.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/24 07:04 PM

Getting fat is terrible for your health. Not all women wear makeup, so I’m not sure why you assume that she does. And pretty women who don’t wear makeup still get attention from men. And women can wear makeup for other reasons… for example, attractive, “put together” people tend to be taken more seriously at work.

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 07:07 PM

No, in my experience, they are both unattractive
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 04:38 PM

Yeah, I misread 5.9 feet as 5’9’’. I fixed it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 08:39 PM

People are calling you short at 6 feet? That’s just crazy. Is this in real life or just dating apps?

Is this a Gen Z thing, or just a college kid thing? I think young people have been doing this for the last couple generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 08:04 PM

Edited: For fellow Americans: it’s 5’11’’. Which is not short by any stretch of the imagination. Something’s not right here.

Girl meets a guy that seems nice but she isn’t sexually attracted to him because he isn’t good looking enough. Girl’s friends tell her to give him a chance because looks aren’t everything and he seems nice and would probably make a good boyfriend. She feels like a bitch for rejecting a nice guy just due to his looks so she gives him a chance. He turns out to not actually be that nice. Now girl is mad she bothered with him.

Nah, it’s not that black and white. I’ve never known a woman that was attractive and sane that couldn’t get a serious relationship, regardless of whether she had a few hookups in college.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 10:11 PM

This seems like an argument for women to not have casual sex with unattractive men, even if they seem like good guys. They could just be lying about being good guys, to get sex. But Chad can’t lie about being hot. You know if you sleep with him you are going the benefit of sex with a hot guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 09:57 PM
8

He is better, though. He is more attractive. When it comes to dating, women treat hot guys better than non-hot guys, and men treat hot women better than non-hot women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 09:50 PM
1

And you are ok knowing that she is sleeping with other men? Maybe you see her every Tuesday and she has other men she sleeps with on Thursday and Saturday? A lot of men would have an issue with this. But if you are OK with it, go do what you want if you can find someone you like that will agree with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 02:01 AM

A big benefit is monogamy. FWBs are just friends, they aren’t exclusive. Are you ok with the girl sleeping with other men? Are you ok always worrying about STDs?

The BMI scales that I’ve seen put 145 lbs as normal range for 5’4”, so that lady would only be 5 lbs overweight.

The last point is interesting. Amongst my female friends, the boyfriends/husbands that turned out to be abusive were all some level of hobosexuals. A guy with very little going on in the career department (or any department) latching on to a woman that was inexperienced, maternal, desperate for love and drawn to fixer uppers. All parties involved were unattractive, so this wasn’t a “hot bad boy” thing.

Additionally, income-based welfare programs have enabled single motherhood to be financially possible. In the US, these programs started in the 1960s with LBJ’s “war on poverty”. The pill was also invented in the 1960s. So, this is probably an example of correlation but not causation.

The complaining about the second shift happens in the marriages where the man and woman both work full time jobs but the woman does more housework and childcare. It doesn’t apply to marriages where the woman only works part-time, or is a SAHM. So, national averages about women’s employment hours aren’t really helpful. The part-time working women and the SAHMs probably aren’t getting divorced due to second shift complaints, but they are skewing the working hours averages.

It seems that a lot of the comments under this are confusing “initiating” with “chasing”. If a man wants to be successful, he will probably need to initiate. Initiating means starting the conversation, asking the woman out for a date. Even though the man is initiating, the woman should still be showing interest back. Spending time together shouldn’t seem difficult. Chasing is running after someone that isn’t interested, jumping through stupid hoops, trying to get someone’s attention by wearing t…

Actually, they aren’t popular with voters, they were old laws that were triggered by Roe v Wade being overturned. Every state, even red states, that’s had a pro-choice initiative on the ballot, that initiative has passed. Feminists were the people who organized to get those pro-choice initiatives on the ballot. So, that’s what feminism is supposed to be about. Political and social action to benefit women on issues that disproportionately affect women. There are still more states to go, at this p…

A lot of Redditors live in the US. This automatic additional GPA point system doesn’t occur in US universities. Meanwhile, US doesn’t have guaranteed maternity leave. Abortion just became illegal in a bunch of states, so now there are cases of women being forced to carry, and have c-sections to deliver, dead babies, or having to flee the state to terminate a pregnancy caused by rape.

Hair and makeup takes time if you want to look super glam. Some of us overplucked our eyebrows when thin eyebrows were the style and now they don’t grow back (repeated plucking can kill the root) so we have to fill them in to match the current style. Yes, eyebrows trends are stupid. Some women don’t like pads because they feel like wearing a diaper and can bunch up when you walk and then leak over the sides. But if your flow is light, pads might be better for you because even a small tampon migh…

Generally, it’s a red flag if someone is on one of the extreme ends of the behavior spectrum. Regardless of whether you are male or female, it’s weird if you are 30 years old and an anti-social virgin, and it’s also weird if you are 30 years old and have over 200 bodies.

Yeah, heavy makeup doesn’t show up in photos like it does in real life. You can completely paint a new face on someone and it will look fine in a photo, but if you saw this person in real life you would definitely know they were wearing a ton of makeup, so it wouldn’t be “cheating”.

They are saying that only desperate men think a woman being skinny is sufficient for being found attractive, regardless of her other attributes. A man with options isn’t dating a skinny woman with an ugly face or bad hygiene or gross personality.

It’s frustrating having these conversations online because many people put all women that aren’t zero body fat into one “normal/curvy/thicc/plump/kinda overweight/morbidly obese” category. There is a huge difference between a woman with an hourglass figure in normal-range BMI, and a woman who is obese, but people will call them both curvy or thicc.

The definition of feminism is all over the place and there are different types of feminism (liberal versus radical, four different waves). Feminist communities will get in debates with each other over what is feminist and what is not. On a basic level, it is about things like equal legal rights for women, calling out implicit biases that prevent women from being equal in the workplace, and addressing “women’s issues” such as (in USA) lack of maternity leave, repeal of Roe, etc. I don’t think you…

If the woman can’t take birth control due to side effects, the couple doesn’t want kids right now but wants them in the future, and they aren’t allergic to latex, then they are going to probably going to use condoms. You wanted to know why a married couple might use condoms. There’s your answer.

That’s not true at all. A lot of people in their 30s find people in their 20s very annoying and would rather have a relationship with an attractive person in their own age range.

No, not today. But, historically it did. Prior to the 20th Century, men and women had about the same life expectancy. When medical science developments in the 20th Century made childbirth much safer, women’s life expectancy began to exceed men’s.

Same here! Also, I think that the average young adult in generations past was better socialized and less likely to be obese than young adults today. They’d probably be very successful if dropped into today’s dating scene.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s helpful when women say “We don’t like muscles, we just like a man who is fit” if they are talking about as man that looks like Ronaldo. The average man should go to the gym and lift, and not worry that he’s going to look too muscular for women. It would probably take a ton of work, and a ton of roids, to get unattractively muscular. Also, it’s good for your health to be in shape.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 04:27 PM

If this sub is going to have multiple debates about this topic, I think we need to define “muscles”. I think Ronaldo looks very muscular in that picture and I bet it would take a man a lot of work to get like that. “Muscular” seems to be like “average” or “curvy”… it means different things to different people. I do agree that the roidy “body builder” look isn’t good, but that’s not what I mean when I say I like a man with muscles. Just like most men probably aren’t talking about an extreme BBL d…

Yeah, if you observe the real world around you, you would see that the good looking men get more attention from women. However, back in the 80s to 00s, there were a lot of movies that showed nice but mediocre male protagonists getting the beautiful girl in the end as part of his everyman-hero’s journey. I think these movies messed up people’s expectations.

I’m sorry to hear that. Why do you think this is? Does being sexually assaulted young cause bisexuality?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 05:10 AM

Well, for starters, a respectful debate usually requires people to focus on the issue being discussed and to avoid personal attacks. No yelling. Of course, you can have a respectful debate with someone and still decide you are incompatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 06:20 AM
3

I think a big part of dating is finding someone you are compatible with. People with completely different views on important issues probably won’t be compatible. You see it on the relationships subs: people get married, have kids and then get into big arguments about vaccinating them. People have unplanned pregnancy and then realize one of them is pro-choice and one of them is pro-life. Better to figure these things out early and stick to people with similar values.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 11:40 PM

If I’m on a date with a guy and he wants to have a respectful discussion about a political issue, that’s not necessarily a problem. But if he reveals himself to be anti-vax, or climate change denier, or pro-Putin, etc., then there isn’t going to be a second date because we just aren’t compatible.

You must think you are really important if you think a woman isn’t deserving of marriage just because she’s slept with you
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 02:59 AM

This is because dating/romance/sex is very different for women than it is for men. Instead of both genders accepting that, they assume the opposite gender has the same wiring as they do, and get into arguments about who’s life is more difficult. It’s the same arguments over and over, and I would be shocked if any of them result in improving anyone’s love life.

Two theories: 1. The unattractive guys had to take what they could get, so would be more likely to settle and enter relationships with women they didn’t love, and this lack of love came out eventually. Whereas, if you are in a relationship with a man that has options, then there is a good chance he chooses to be with you because he thinks you are special. If he didn’t like your personality, he’d just try another option. 2. In my case, the unattractive men were unattractive mostly due to weight (…

You can’t use the entire US population when you are calculating the percentage. That will include people you would never encounter while dating: children, people who aren’t sexual active, people who are in monogamous relationships, etc. You need to figure out the number of Americans that are out getting sexually involved with new partners. This is a smaller pool, so the risk is higher.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 07:44 PM

Because now they are 30, and when they meet a 20 year old, that 20 year old seems like a kid and they can’t imagine dating them. Then they think back to that relationship and wonder how the 30 year old boyfriend didn’t feel like he was dating a kid.

If you’ve been there before, you could say “I recommend [name of Expensive Dish].” Or, you could tell her “I’m planning to order [name of Expensive Dish].” Then she’ll know you are fine paying for an expensive dish.

I think it’s really weird. Why would a guy want to do that? Wouldn’t he want her to order something she will enjoy eating (and not possibly give her an allergic reaction or upset tummy)?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:50 AM

Yes, I agree, but unfortunately there are a lot of bad partners out there. My advice would be to communicate with them, and, if that doesn’t work, then break up with them and move on. Of course, if you are married with kids this complicates things.

I think that being a woman is a huge part of who I am, so, in order to be a man, my brain would have to change significantly, and then I wouldn’t be myself anymore. So, it’s not something I can comfortably imagine. I think there are probably pros and cons to being a man versus a woman. But if someone asks me “would you rather be a man?” I would say “No” because it would be such a huge change, and I enjoy being who I am.

Yeah, I just read that and thought “I’ve read all of these comments before on the PPD sub.”

Lol, imagine bringing someone around to your parents, living with them, giving them access to your bank account, and being like “we aren’t serious”. I know people who are married that have separate bank accounts!

I think you are probably right. I’m not disgusted by lesbianism, it’s just not my thing.

2, the woman. I’m a straight woman. Reasoning: Option 1 is disgusting, whereas Option 2 may not be arousing but at least is not disgusting.

That’s the definition of serial monogamy. You have a relationship for a couple years, break up, have another relationship for a couple years, repeat, repeat. A “series” of monogamous relationships.

In the US, where most states don’t have mandated paid sick or maternity leave, and FMLA only applies to half of employers, if a woman’s pregnancy goes bad she may completely lose her job. I had a bad pregnancy and had to spend months in the hospital and I thanked God that my husband made enough to cover all our necessary expenses. Even if a pregnancy goes normally, having to work while dealing with morning sickness sucks, having to turn over a newborn baby to a daycare center because you don’t h…

It’s probably different reasons for different women. For example, this generation is very mobile and attains a lot of higher education. If a woman grows up in one place, goes to college in another, gets a job in another, goes to grad school in another, and starts her career in another… and the men her age of her social class are doing the same… then most of her relationships will probably break up due to distance.

If you are in good shape and 5’8”, why are you only a 4/10? Is there something particular about your face that you could get plastic surgery to fix?

If you change her comment from talking about “leagues” to just talking about attractiveness, her point still stands. Her long term match was more attractive than the guys that just wanted to pump and dump, so the lesson she learned was that she might as well go for attractive guys.

Shouldn’t it depend on the age of the person? I would think a 30 year old that has been with 8 people is very different than an 18 year old that has been with 8 people.

It makes sense, for both men and women. If you are in your early 20s and not successful yet, still just trying to figure it out, that’s normal. But if you are 35 and don’t yet have a decent job and a savings account, this is a red flag. What have you been up to? Are you incapable of making decent life choices? This study doesn’t tell me that men expect an extra $7k of compensation to date an older women. It tells me that people judge other people based on what are normal achievements for their a…
