I dont believe I said he didnt have a right to self defence. However, it's clear that he went overboard and it was no longer about self defence. One punch would have been enough, if she attacked him again then it would be ok to punch her again. If you cant see the difference between self defense and excessive force, then I would be worried for you. Also, i am allowed to be here and share my opinions.

That clearly wasnt equal though. He clearly used an unnecessary amount of force. She slapped him then backed off and he punched her twice then dragged her to the floor by her hair. That wasnt self defence, he just wanted to punch someone.

I wasn’t blaming you. It’s also not entirely my mums fault. I want to be able to say “I’m on my period” when people ask me what’s wrong, or if I can go to an event later etc without everyone going “ew omg that’s disgusting why did you tell me that”. Sometimes it’s nice to have support when you are in so much pain you can’t move. I’d like to be able to just say “I have really bad cramps” without people getting grossed out or awkward. This is because it’s definitely a taboo topic like the picture …

That’s good but there’s still along way to go with men I think. My mum for example never speaks to any male family/friend about her or my period, and if we’re talking about any issues I’m having, she would always make sure we’d be alone and she’d whisper like it is a secret. Made me quite ashamed of my period.

Not as much as menstruation. Kids will laugh and joke about farts and poop. People are comfortable talking about any issues they have with defecating (IBS, diarrhea etc). Nobody ever really talks comfortably about menstruation or any problems they are facing, unless it’s a doctor. Also, Muslim women are kicked out of their houses, not allowed to touch anything etc because they are menstruating, not because they pooped earlier.

It was sarcastic. I was pointing out how wrong it’d be if the genders were turned. OP said “don’t want an abortion? Should’ve kept your legs closed.” I agree that men shouldn’t be forced to pay for a child they didn’t want. Just like I think a woman shouldn’t be forced to pay for one after she’s forced to carry, birth and breastfeed one. If someone doesn’t want a child, they should have the option to opt out, regardless of gender.
