We don’t have a video to better diagnose it. Some folks’ direct look is more of a leer or stare and from others it is delicious. Maybe your natural aroma reminds her of her brother. That is completely beyond your control. Also, she may have been ‘off’ herself. There wasn’t a connection here. TLDR: You may have done nothing wrong.

Possibly your body language while talking was ...off or just not interesting to her?

Yes, $20 total. Those are the dates that demand creativity. I am really happy with tea and talking and walking. That really is just talking and tea/coffee/happy hour unless you can find a Groupon or something. A good second date would be mini-golf, or at least they have been for me. An outdoor festival or free admission fair is also awesome. Full meals or movies are for like 3rd dates and beyond- once I'm down to get physical. Here's the not so nice part - the cheaper dates are EASY to escape fr…

I respect your perspective and you're most likely right.

Understood and respected. I know it is difficult. I briefly (maybe a couple years) experimented with expressing interest the way a man would. That was a 100% failure. I had to learn more traditionally feminine ways. It was rarely successful UNLESS I was immediately smitten. I guess it comes down to willingness to take a risk regardless of outcome.

TLDR; Get live feedback on what is off putting - video if you can. Fix it. It seems like it could be small but pivotal. Your packaging doesn't accurately represent your content. The issue may not be your size or lack of smile. Frankly, you sound ultra-masculine and hot. Guys like that don't need to smile. Maybe you're inadvertently dressed or carrying yourself like a guy who is bad news. Maybe it is something simple like optimize your hairstyle. It could be more involved like eyebrow grooming or…

I like this suggestion a lot.

You're correct. There is a difference there. Someone can still screen for an SO but express interest. Why wait to express interest until after you've screened? The ship may have sailed. Why not express interest and get to know one another? If there isn't a match you don't have to establish a relationship.

You don't need to if you're attracting women. I know one super vain guy who is always dressed perfectly. Perfectly coiffed. Hair conditioned... etc. Dude had a rugged face. He was still doing all the masculine stuff even though he's boisterous. He did/does convey lust with his eyes. For awhile I had no idea he was after me or as after me as he was. Yeah, he closed... a lot ... with me and an others. It works for him. If it works for you then no need to change. EDIT: Women frequently approach him…

I have a slightly different twist. Unless you two are an item don't spend more than $20. Be creative! My favorite dates were cheap ones. The most fun date I ever had was a beach trip and he bought me tea. I am also a sucker for beaches and picked flowers from parks. These have an element of romance because the only options were talking, swimming and walking. Usually guys who took me beach dates and picked me flowers got the most physical affection out of me. Dudes who acted like they were trying…

Never have that fear again. You want crappy folks to self eliminate ASAP. And, if you aren't being yourself how do you expect that person to really be attracted to you as opposed to some façade?

You're welcome. Even though I'm only speaking for myself it may give you some perspective for others.

Nope, I can be attracted to someone without his showing interest. Historically, I wouldn't remain interested unless he began to show interest shortly after our becoming acquainted. I learned that I am quick to forget someone if he doesn't show interest soon.

I agree. Set up your date with her ASAP. You're cool face-to-face. Make sure you get back in front of her face within a couple days.

As a woman, I must fundamentally agree. If a man approached me in a platonic way that how I'd always see him. If he was unclear at the beginning [ and especially if he soon says or does something offensive] he'll never be anything other than platonic. Not showing clear romantic/sexual interest is a fail if he has interest in me. Make it easy for me to know where you stand. I'm hanging out with you for recreation. Don't make me analyze what your motives are. Be clear from jump. I also agree with …

Agreed. Unless you let them know that you're practicing and are just getting feedback it will just mess up your friendships. Have them point out women they think you should approach at the very most. Flirt with strangers...

This is me as an individual and I won't pretend I'm representing anyone other women. I'm done at that point. If you're an excellent kisser and ok looking I'm satisfied and probably want to sleep. If you're not superficially super awesome then I may decide I never want to sleep with you. I'm not saying that would happen but I've already got mine. Someone looking to hookup with me (and only hookup with me no FWB or dating type stuff) would now have a tougher challenge that night. Here's why: I am …

If you're walking around with me I'm thinking you want to get to know me. It seems that I've got a lower EQ than most women so that would mix me up. If you just want to hook up with me invite me straight to yours. Don't make me have to think or wonder.

Just do it! Tinder is for meeting ASAP. If you want long term stuff you build that once you meet. Be consistent (no mixed signals) and flirtatious and gradually escalate physically. Don't come in with a "I am seeking a life mate here and that is why you are swiping right on me" type attitude. Just meet a lot of people. You'll quickly get better at identifying who is a good match for you for more serious stuff.

Funny is awesome!!! Funny can cover items 1, 2 & 4 and might make up for item 3. Funny guys are closers! And, if you don't hit it off it is way likely that the woman is willing to play wing and get you someone.

Agreed! If you find you hit it off with the person beyond hookup then you can tell them your life story and your plans for the year etc. While people find life partners on Tinder most aren't there seeking that. It is an easy way to quickly meet people Meet people quickly and don't bring your baggage.

Agreed! The walk is a waste of time. It would confuse me. A walk tells me this guy is romantic and hopeful and this is neither a hookup or a FWB. If I chose to meet him I'd feel ambushed if he switched up the game. That is a ditch and block. Approach #2, while preferred might catch me off guard a tad. I can be super happy and even climax off just making out. I'd suggest clarifying and escalating just a tiny bit that you're hoping to score. Use being a great kisser as a lure. TLDR; The walk thing…

I agree! Just be crystal clear. There is no need to "take control". Being clear worked on me. After work my brain is jelly. Don't make references to irrelevant stuff under the guise of being charming and subtle. That would just annoy me and I'd leave or kick dude out. Don't make me 'person' when I have jelly brain! Make life and fun easy. "I want to see you. Let's do this and this. [Yes, you can make it sound seductive. I find knowing seductive otherwise I'd feel ambushed.] Are you free at X o'c…

Don't bother meeting anyone who seems to have a crappy attitude. If you do make sure it is for just happy hour or coffee or something you can be in and out of in a few minutes so you don't waste time on a crappy person. That will allow you to see if the individual looks like their pictures and get a vibe. You went on a futile outing. I agree with /u/ItsreallyAdamv.

Also, the demographic that likes you. I didn't really hang with cyclists until I started doing triathlons. I didn't do much cyclong but I had dated some. No idea that the dudes super into cyling would be into me.

I see your point and generally agree although I admit there were some dates I've been lukewarm on. For the gents who may not know they are in a lukewarm situation it could be particularly helpful for them. I just love the heads up though. It's adorable and charming.

Clearly it is just a hug but it is really NICE to hear that. It says more than hug; it conveys the vibe that if we hook up there's unlikely to be surprise anal because dude makes his desires clear. I have been on a first date at Starbucks and the guy, without warning shoves his tongue down my throat. An FYI is just ultra nice.

By that article this is becoming discouraged. Don't do it. Migrate towarf more contemporary dating or T least consult the girl before doing it or even before consulting her family. From a western perspective this is a criminal act,

Glad to have brought it to your attention. Keep in mind, I do not speak for all women. Some people have special criteria for every base or for PIV or for ANAL. Some people just do. Others just don't.

Find a better option. Why wasted time on someone who is waffling? Maybe she will be interested later. Maybe you will be too fed up with her. Also, maybe if you don't put moves on her she will jump you. BTW there were people in my past I would totally make out with but did not want to sleep with. I am not unique in that regard.

Sometimes women want more too. However, it looks like she just doesn't want any genital contact with you. Maybe she gets attached when genitals are involved.

It sounds like she enjoys hanging out with you and making out with you but anything beyond second base is out of scope. Make outs are fun!

Understood. I was never into betas. Congrats on having game. I think a move like this really ought not be used by betas. It becomes a cluster if they do.

I'm glad it works for you. That kind of thing wouldn't have worked for me becaus I always wanted a man to come at me out of the gate as a potential romantic partner. I never enjoyed the we're friends oh, by the way now I want to hook up. Subtlety in flirting was definitely a waste on me especially since I historically have had more male than female friends. I just assume that I have a new bro with no chance of romance. I would just keep it moving with the men who clearly had romantic interest fr…

I think we just have different perspectives. I am aware feelings can change. But, if his initial motivation is romantic/sexual but he starts out purely platonic I'll bond to that and start to perceive him as brotherly. Then, if he switches, I'll feel like my brother is creeping on me. Two caveats: I've never been good at picking up on flirting. I'm married now so Inshould have put everything in past tense. Here's an extra one - I have never been interested in sex without attraction and actually …

It is also deceitful since you have an ulterior motive. I also think it would fail. Once I make friends with a guy I do not want him to be anything else. If someone did that to me I'd be offended. I'd also assume that since he never previously expressed attraction he never was attracted to me and just wants a FWB despite a lack of attraction.

If a strange man came up behind me and touched me I would freak - alone or not. EDIT You can read a group to see if they are open to new folks. If they are in a semi-circle(ish) then come and join. If they are closed and focussing on one another they don't want anyone else involved right then. I think he would have done better to have engaged everyone at the table. I think his approach was analogous to waving a red cape in front of a raging bull. That said, chokehold-dude was out of control.

Your post makes you sound like you are a buzzkill. It also makes you sound like an entitled "nice-guy." Do you have any sisters? They may be able to critique you well. I am guessing you don't have any female friends based on your tone. Shed the entitlement attitude if it exists Get some swagger Learn to flirt

If you are relying on hearsay to get the status of your budding 'relationship' then you are definitely wasting your time. I hope I misinterpreted the situation. Ultimately, if you suspect you could be wasting your time then you probably are. Cease pursuit.

Unattractive is subjective. You can adjust distance and suddenly be hot stuff. Pre-Tinder I discovered that to be true for myself whenever I left my home town. it didn't make sense that I was considered better looking in LA, NYC, Chicago, Miami, SF, Rome and Paris than my hometown. I lived in two of those cities later and it held true. I'm not hot stuff in Rio De Janeiro, DC, San Diego or London but no biggie. Geographically expand your horizons. Clearly, I am biased toward the red philosophy. N…
