30	It's time to let go of "toxic masculinity" I don’t like the term because it’s misunderstood because of simple grammar confusion and creates resentment unnecessarily. Everyone likes food, right? But only good food. Not toxic food. When I say “toxic food” I mean “food that happens to be toxic.” I don’t mean “all food is toxic”. For some reason, that distinction isn’t working similarly with “toxic masculinity.” It is falling into the pattern of “toxic waste” where both the adjective (toxic) and the noun (waste) are bad. 5	Make the streets safe for everyone. I don’t understand what difference the gender of the victim makes. Can’t we just try to stop crime against everyone? Is this some sort of “no, I’m more victimized than you!” contest? If there is some different angle to stopping male-on-male crime, then by all means craft the solution to the problem, but what is the point of trying to pit male victims against female victims?
