When I was single, if I even SUSPECTED someone was in the military, zero interest. Air Force guys seem to be a little different but even then, few and far between

I dated a guy who after a few dates told me he really prefers clean shaven. I went into his bathroom, found a razor, and said “right after you”. Never went out again. He was also really “attracted to women in heels”. Again, be my guest dude. Shocker, he’s over 40 and still single despite dying to have a family. I am never fully shaven. Ingrown hair isn’t worth it. I’ll do a buzz but that’s it.

But you know some fucking guy would come on there about how women are “just as violent” somehow.

Good for you for recognizing that and ending it right away. I wish I was that strong.

A couple weekends ago I was with a group of people on a trip. We were talking as women about our experiences having to repeat ourselves to men over and over again. One of the guys in the group said we need to make sure we’re speaking with love. I told him that we ask nicely the first time, but after that we don’t have to do anything with love. Fuck that. Listen the first time.

A HVM is clear with his intentions and their actions should match what they say. 5 months feels way too long to not say ILY

I’m usually hopping into new dating right away because I’m so over their shit by the time I break it off.

I was just out skiing this morning listening to two guys talk about their crazy exes. All the buzzwords: clingy, baggage, signs of trauma, desperate. Ew

Haha this is great, thanks for making it. I felt this in my vagina. In a not awesome way.

Wait until Valentine’s Day. If things are still going well, get him something nice then. I’ve gotten boyfriends custom cufflinks and embroidered handkerchiefs as gifts in the past that they really liked for Valentine’s Day. I love giving gifts if it is something I know they’ll like. Good job finding a guy who got you something for Christmas!

Jesus, I thought he’d be like 30 or something. 58?! Back off grandpa. The boat commentary is so gross, too. Trying to lure her in with what he’s assuming is some incredible opportunity for her. Ew ew ew

You’re not far off. A ton of man caves have signs about no fat chicks or no women. Search the term man cave and there are a ton of men on Reddit mad that in a home where they are the only one with their own room, their wife is asking them to give it up. Their precious, sexist space. Really common to see it be an issue in posts.

I’ve had 2-3 exes who were honestly incredibly high value men, just lacked physical chemistry, enough in common, or I didn’t like their family… these men were rarely mean, and apologized immediately if they were. Made nice plans, etc. Those guys are rare. Every other ex has been emotionally abusive, won’t apologize, talks to exes, physically abusive, etc. So my ratio is 1/10 relationships roughly. And that doesn’t include all the creepy dates, stalkers, scary randos. Just people I dated for ~6 m…

I was homeless off and on as a kid. My brother is on death’s door somewhere on the street at all times. Other sister in and out of jail. Second sister nobody talks to. They’re not good people. All four of us have different dads, which says a lot. All of them were abusive alcoholics. I have incredible friends, a great job, fun hobbies, travel very often, and goals. I do have a really nice aunt but she lives far away. I really can’t put into words what a stress relief it is having a good career vs…

And of course I’m sure you’ve seen the studies that show that men greatly over estimate how much women talk in groups. Men talk so much more. But they would just love if we weren’t even there

Ugh. I’ve spent way too much of my life with men who are still into an ex or friends with their ex fiancée.

Men in relationships rate themselves more objectively attractive than men outside relationships. Women don’t do this. A lot of men go through life getting praise about things other than their appearance, and the second they have a gf or wife praising their looks, it goes to their head. This was an actual large scale study done. You can Google it. And of course, as soon as they think they can, they want to get more women.

Went out with some people the other night. 41 year old man with a 21 year old. Me: I’m 33 and when I went on a date with someone who was 24 years old, it was really awkward. Nothing in common, very different places in life. Even if it were just sex, it would’ve felt really icky. I straight up said that. Don’t even know the guy. Would say it to any friend, but I’m not friends with guys like that.

Outside of men entirely, I love my volunteer work, hobbies, incredibly kind-hearted/supportive friends, and I donate to animal welfare causes. I adopted a Turkey for Thanksgiving (monetary only). Some of my good friends have lovely children, and it’s fun to watch them grow up and marvel at the world. Finding joy in little things. But I also really love watching my tv shows, and reading/weed/EDM festivals.

I adore her! And side note: she’s been speaking out against the aging double standard with women in Hollywood and I love her for it.

I JUST went and saw it at the Symphony and was blown away by all the sexism. Fat shaming of women. The sexist trope with the British guy and supermodels. I hadn’t seen it in years and forgot about all that.
