I have a great job and family situations that require me to stay local. Quality of life isn't terrible, but the dating prospects are. I'm pretty lucky in that I don't have to drive but 10 miles to work, but our nearest Walmart or any food that isn't a small-town mom-n-pop diner or a McDonalds is over 40 miles away.
