4	Rapper DMX owes 1 million dollars in child support and is being denied a passport because of it. So he can't tour Europe and make the money to pay off all that child support...if the child is even his. I think we need to focus on the main point here that it doesn't take a million fucking dollars to raise a child. 1	This one is really sick....... Indeed, It should be computed based on the cost of living in that area. As for the whole paying for college thing, the kid is 18 at that point so it should be entirely voluntary for the man. A core issue here that's needs to be addressed is that child support has nothing to do with how much money it requires to raise children, it is based solely on how much money the man makes. If a man has 10 million dollars and gets a divorce from him wife (let's say they have one child), what's going to happen here. Will the man be required to pay half the costs of raising a child.
