As a lesbian, I personally dislike political lesbianism. Some of the straight women who attest hating their sexuality are the same ones who say "I only date men who are at least 6'2". They just want to sound controversial (to be clear, most women nowadays are not like this). Though, to be fair, most women who act like that have had traumatic experiences so it's a complicated subject

Women also face physical abuse in conservative countries. Men are usually expected to be strong and financially stable but women are constantly reducted to family, the house and a mundane existance
