that's not really what intersectionality means tho. a gay man faces the intersection of issues related to both being gay and being a man, but that doesn't mean that these issues are not related to context

intersectionality is not good or bad. it's a way of measuring or representing things that can be used on any topic. you can pick any issue and see what intersections it has with other issues, so you can absolutely draw the intersections of men's issues and racism, being disabled, having low income... like you can do with women's issues.

i would love to. in my language (french) we lack a neutral pronoun and despite people trying to come up with band-aid solutions we have nothing to use like the english "they" (which is proper grammar btw). gender is something private and sould not change anything about the way people are treated, so for me it's pointless to have to specify it everywhere like we do. neutral for everyone could be such a good solution.

hmmm, i see what you mean but i'd like to mitigate it a bit. for the moment women keep having babies so that never happened. but in some countries that needed more or less babies there were definitely some cases of government manipulation through ads campaigns. but yeah, forcing people to go to war is stupid, and making it something gendered is even more stupid.

i think men and women are both dehumanized but each in their own way. men are seen as machines that can be used at will for work or war, and women are seen as sex objects that produce babies. i think the problem is that a lot of times, when we give advice of treating humans like humans, it's in a context where people that are present already know that. maybe it's better to state the fact that people are dehumanized rather than say it in the form of an advice. but still, sometimes people need to …

i've always found that the words we use for the woman equivalent (misogyny / internalized misogyny) is way more useful to understand and describe the two different ways toxic gender roles applies to women. why don't we use misandry / internalized misandry instead?
