throvvvva was saying people pay child support because there are serious consequences. So while it's not great on an individual level, he's saying it works as a deterrent.

I know women that never expect special treatment because they are women and/or pretty. Are you saying AWALT?

I understand you seeing this everyday in your line of work, but I rarely see it in my life outside of clubs. I'm wondering if these women don't represent the average woman?

Most women spend their whole life on Easy Mode without even realizing it, hot women doubly so. So is part of TRP Theory that women in a nightclub obsessed with a DJ are representative of most women?

I think I see why this process confuses you and you're so upset. Sorry.

Great quotes. While I dislike some of Ayn Rand's ideas when applied to politics, they are great for thinking about our own personal responsibility.

As much as we might like to think otherwise, being Alpha and living a full life wasn't taken away; we give it away.

My point is that there are plenty of women who strongly believe it would be unacceptable and beneath them to get pregnant if the guy didn't want to. If you get to know them, you can feel confident in your decision.

So you're complaining about the serious consequences, but acknowledge they work? I've met lots of guys who scheme to avoid paying simply because they want to keep more money for themselves or don't like their ex.

Absolutely agree. How do you think this could be fixed while still enforcing children get support?

Isn't he just paying the past child support he owes? Why would his past debts go away now that he has custody?

Gives women sole choice of whether or not to have a child Yep, definitely sucks for guys. Though we do have the choice of providing the sperm. Forces men to pay child support for children even if they didn't want them Again, that's a risk we take when we provide sperm. If we don't want them, don't make 'em. Often forces men to pay unreasonable amounts based on a percentage of their income rather than how much the child actually needs to survive, Why is that unreasonable? often based on previous …

These are separate issues. While it does suck to have to give the money to the ex to spend and it sucks that the guy doesn't usually get custody, I'm not sure what a better system is other than not always defaulting custody to the mother. Fix the system, but follow the law and don't screw your kids. That said my point isn't to shame anyone. I assume everyone on TRP dislikes it, but pays their support. My point was just that these court rulings don't impact anyone here unless they are a dick.

The child's best interest is for the father to support the child every month. That wasn't happening.

Sure, men and women can be untrustworthy. But if you are smart and cautious about it, you can find men and women who are very trustworthy. Don't give up all hope just because it hasn't been easy.

Haha. It would not have been ideal, but I understood the risks I was taking and if a girl had made a baby, I would have taken care of it because it would still be my child. As far as keeping it zipped - I'm saying make better choices about who you unzip for - if a girl is really easy and available, she might be really crazy or have an agenda you don't want.

Thanks. That is the point of the username. Yet I feel like a lot of people here have had a shitty personal experience and learn that the whole world sucks and the only way to have anything good is to exploit it. From what I've learned, no one on TRP needs to be afraid of marriage or relationships, just of bad relationships. We all need to get educated on how to create good relationships with good people.

How so? I'm just saying this shouldn't be a problem for anyone who takes care of their kids.

Before you have sex with someone, you can choose to not have children. It truly sucks that guys have no choice after that, but we still have a choice.

HAHA. No. Read the guys post: 4) If she has a child, kill it. You'll spend less time in prison. He didn't say, "If she gets pregnant..." He is talking about killing the child after it's been born. Hopefully he is being "tongue in cheek" joking, but still a little disturbed.

That is fucked up. There are probably some fucked people out there, but it's kind of bullshit that the guy in the first article can't find a second part-time job. I've known lots of guys who work shit jobs or get paid under the table so they don't have to pay child support. And the guy in the OP's article could have payed.

Notice the other comment reply was about killing your own child and you had no complaints there. Just seems like if we were a little less paranoid and dated better quality women, we'd have a better time.

Paying for your children's food 3 months after he was hungry is a bit of a problem. For 3 months he did not pay. Perhaps you should have focused on math and biology instead of perfecting your impeccable reading skills.

Here's hoping you are joking. Pretty sure this guy chose to have children, just not to support them.

Sure, the punishment is stiff, but as long as you support your kids you aren't getting punched. This is dickheads, not men, getting used as punching bags.

Are you saying we shouldn't punish people who don't pay child support? Yes, it will be harder for this guy, but he was bad and is getting punished. He can dip into his savings or take out a loan.

What does this have to do with MARRIAGE? Shouldn't it be DON'T HAVE CHILDREN IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO SUPPORT THEM? Seriously, if you have children that depend on you, take care of them. What's the problem?

Does it boost success with women? If by "success" you mean sex, and by "women" you mean women that have terrible traits that you wouldn't want to do much but have sex with, then yes. If by "success" you mean a fulfilling relationship, and by "women" you mean women you respect and appreciate, then no, TRP doesn't work. Some of the basis of TRP is good for building guys' confidence and assertiveness, but unfortunately one of it's main tactics is mentally thinking of women as less so you can manipu…

What does it mean to be feminist? I'm egalitarianist. Do feminists advocate for women's equality, but not men's equality, or economic, or racial equality? Feminism seems specific and sexist.

There are so many women who are attracted to an assertive "nice guy," why is it so important for us to change into a dick "alpha" to get with this type of girl? Why don't we focus on the realization that some girls are like this, and avoid them?

Maybe she meant, "That's what a partner is for." When you're low on funds and your partner has some, why not let them help you? Still waiting to hear someone who actually understands what an Alpha is on TRP. Probably not someone sitting around complaining about his wife and daughter on internet message boards.

Since women are the wombs, wouldn't it make sense they would evolve to be more intelligent in order to better protect the womb? In my experienced men are as ruled by their emotions as women, yet mature women are usually better at understanding others' emotions.

While the conclusions may be true, this article completely overlooks that society and teachers have been setting expectations that boys will like math and science more than girls.

richardnorth is off in his description and probably off in his conclusion. However, the human species has evolved to present certain characteristics differently in men and women. Human women may generally have more emotional intellingence, while men may have more mathematical intelligence. It's easy to see that humans evolved to give men more muscle mass and women better balance.

These types of ideas are actually biased against women, because they are based on the idea that women are less skillful drivers and need special treatment. Similar to having special parenting standards for men because they are thought to be less skillful parents.

I think it was clear she did a terrible job at life and their marriage. I'm only trying to help OP do better next time.

It definitely sounds like she should have contributed more, but her contribution to raising the children is valuable. If my wife were to raise great children mostly on her own, I'd consider that more important than the mountains of cash I bring home. If I raised great children mostly by myself while my wife brought home tons of money, I'd certainly bring that up in court because it was a very valuable contribution.

She is definitely responsible for where her choices led her. But at the same time, they were a partnership, essentially on entity, and he is ending up better off. OP is a good person, but he wasn't a great partner.

By the end, the relationship would have been very difficult to salvage, but it's possible he could have salvaged the relationship by behaving differently early on and had a much better previous decade. My thoughts were more on how he might have a better chance next time. To me, blue pill is watching the relationship you chose to commit to, deteriorate and not doing anything about it. Red pill is influencing your relationship to be successful and being accountable for the results.

It "sucks for her" because she passed on and fucked up many different opportunities Absolutely. I was mainly trying to emphasize for OP that he is coming out of this much better off than she is. She is definitely responsible for her choices. However, they were committed to being a partnership, one unit, when her career and motivation floundered and she made bad choices. While she definitely wasn't doing her part he's taking a lot more from their time as one entity than she is. So good for him. W…

Thanks for the responding. If I was talking to your wife I'd probably have a thousand pages of things she could do better next time or I wouldn't even talk to her because she seems beyond help. If it's what you decide you still want, I'd like for you to enjoy a thoughtful, caring, and emotionally connected relationship with someone who appreciates you. As Red Pill / Alpha / Captain it seems to me we should take control and responsibility for addressing problems and making our relationships the b…

This part isn't sexist. If she was making way more, she'd be paying him. Marriage is agreeing to a partnership, when the partnership ends you split the assets.

It might help to put in a little more effort with the friends you do have. Most friends aren't going to live up to our personal ideals, but we can learn to embrace their good qualities and work around the qualities we don't like.

Let me preface by saying I'm an advocate of making relationships work when they are salvageable. It seems like this might have turned out better if you had been able to draw some lines in the sand earlier. I laughed and told her to take the kids out of the equation and then tell me what benefits I was getting. It sounds like the kids are important to you, so why would you suggest she take something important out of the equation? I essentially handed any little shred of control I might have had i…
