yea mine kept both wedding and engagement and it wasn’t included in the assets bc gifts like others are saying. i still have my wedding ring. it was an expensive gold band. not sure what i’m going to do with it. thought about selling it. thought about turning it into something else since it’s pure gold. idk. it’s all so stupid

kids with the ex? don’t give up hope. it’s tough but try to allow yourself to heal. it takes time so be kind to yourself.

good for you. i don’t go to my kids birthdays with her. i think a perk for the kids of divorced parents is having two bdays or christmases or whatever. i can also stay totally focused on them and not have to worry about whatever game my ex is trying to play.

not drinking with the kids is big. be kind to yourself and patient. it’s a process. hobbies def help. try and start walking or if you can run go on short ones and work your way up.

feel ya bro. it’s been years for me and this year we almost seemed to be turning a corner. long story short she got weird about being around each other and the kids. so i told her the truth finally - i regret ever meeting her and if i could go back i would and never marry her or make babies with her. she’s the biggest mistake of my life. now she’s giving me the silent treatment. it’s a shit show.

yea man. it sucks. i have the kids for the second year in a row (bc she wanted to get on her boyfriends custody schedule) and it still stings. its hard to celebrate when you see all the families together. and presents under the tree - i have none they have them all 🤣 but this year has been better - focusing on the fact that i have two healthy lovely kids who love to be with their dad.

it’s been a struggle but yes. better through the years since the divorce. i put boundaries around the abusive people in my life at that time and they got mad and went no contact. it didn’t bother me so much since i didnt really want them around anyway when they were so shitty. including my ex for the most part. we have kids and whatever changed she’s been around more but now with the time away from them/her i realized how much i allowed and tolerated in my life. so now with the awareness i gaine…

i remember reflecting and watching videos of my ex wife and i interacting and realizing how i was really short with her and kind of an asshole sometimes. after years apart we have started to see each other again and i am reminded of how little she can try to make me feel and how previously i used really let her jabs impact me and i would always try to pretend to take it and not let it affect me. after all these years i see our relationship was a two way street and i allowed people to treat me po…

it’s true. set boundaries for yourself. at least to let yourself heal. you can always change them down the road when the pain has subsided. even with the boundaries i have for myself to speak minimally with my ex it still hurts. the silence speaks loud though for my own emotions and i have found that less is more. doesn’t really change the pain i feel though but has been allowing me to heal and move on in a much healthier way. ❤️❤️❤️

my ex says nothing to me other than if it’s about the kids. she treated me like absolute dog shit and never said sorry or showed any remorse blowing up our family and still projects her insecurities onto our children. and i can honestly say that over 2yrs separated/divorced there aren’t days i miss her so so much.

well it it makes you feel better my mom took my ex wife’s side. basically bc i set boundaries with my narc mom and step dad and she didn’t like that so now they are all a team. my dad passed when i was young so it’s just me and the kids. been battling for years now. it does get better though. just keep fighting. it’s worth it.

whoever told you those things is toxic af. go and get help and be the best man you can be. if she wanted to have kids with you and you were worthy then you are still worthy now. no one is perfect and i’m sure their mom brings her own toxic traits (like degrading men) that she is probably totally oblivious to. focus on yourself and be the man you want and can be. ❤️

sorry to hear. it’s going better. kids are a few years older now but those were definitely some of my darkest days on this earth. i still have bad days with or without the kids but i keep fighting and refuse to give up regardless of the situation. hope you guys are hanging in there too. go easy on yourselves.

join the club. my own mother. her mother and my ex. one of the things that brought my ex and i so close together was not having a father (both passed away when we were young) but now that i see the other side i empathize with our dead dads and how terrible these hens can really be. hang in there bud. ❤️

it’s hard af. i had an under 1 and a 3yr old when my ex decided to blow up our family. just focus on being present and doing the best you can. one day at a time and you’ll survive. gets easier every day they get a little older. ❤️

mine did something similar tho mostly to her face and lips and whatnot. avoiding her helped and just knowing she isn’t a good person when i see her has helped. one day at a time and keep focusing on you. keep her away from you as much as possible. if you can even bring friends or family members for exchanges with the kids. that helps me diffuse a lot of my own personal despise for her and she usually acts less ridiculous when it’s not just me there. some things can’t be avoided but that has help…

i feel you dude. feel like i could have written that myself. two years out. so much debt. so much betrayal. anger. sadness. if you ever want to chat feel free to message me. it always helps me knowing other men who went through something similar. support systems are impt.

sure. my ex wife about 6mo after our second child went completely off the rails mentally and instead of taking care of herself she just blamed me. accused me of everything under the sun and made it completely impossible to live together. refused couples therapy. refused to talk. even still to this day two years later offers no apologies and shows zero remorse.

man i’m sorry to hear this. i’ve def thought that before and all the time. i stay though bc it’s not the kids fault. and at least at the end of the day even if you are alienated and whatever other kind of nonsense can happen at least you can say you showed up and tried your best. ❤️❤️

well said. similar feelings here too. glad to know we are together in this and will agree - two years apart and it gets better every day. those lows are low though and the only thing i would add is just let yourself feel the way you feel. it’s valid. and it’s ok. don’t try to fix it. just go through it and deal with it and you’ll come out on the better end eventually.

I just tried this. I kept my mouth shut most of the time. Grey rocked her. She stopped asking to hang out. Luckily for me I made it comfortable enough for her to realize that it isn’t what she thinks it is. Bc it isn’t.

I blocked mine on both. I still use them too but just don’t care about her and easy to do when she’s blocked. I also blocked many of her relatives.

If you don’t mind sharing - what kind of episode of psychosis did she have when you called the police??
