Not that I'm entirely better but how many are still suffering in silence? Yeah, that's what kills me, too. People forget that the problem is the problem, not only if it affects women. :/ I'm sorry to hear about what happened but glad you're coping better.

That's very messed up. I gained my perspective on males when I served in the US Marines. When I was in, about 6% of the Marine Corps was female (because Marines don't do that affirmative action bullshit; either you meet the requirements or you fail), and that meant I was surrounded by men. They'd often talk to me and ask that I keep it between us because they were embarrassed to share their feelings with fellow males. It was really heartbreaking how they felt like they had to keep things to them…

Yeah, little life situations like: not being interested in dating, having some place to be, not realizing that helping a stranger has to lead to anything more than a single act of help, being gay, not equating a compliment with "now we're friends". You even suggest that perhaps they are "avoiding" you. They probably don't even remember your face. I've helped out so many people and honestly I couldn't place the face if you asked me to and my life depended on it. I'm here to help, not to be a budd…
