Insightful post.

Inspirational story. Thanks for sharing. At least you got out of it before getting locked in with kids and a mortgage.

That's how this sub will get banned. Why do you care so much anyway? GYOW.

Don't get lost in the collective anxiety. This will probably be a difficult decade for the world but that doesn't mean it has to be difficult for you. Everyone seems to be confident about what's coming next but no one really knows. Stay focused on yourself and on the things within your control.

Reddit is legit dangerous but also a reflection of the sad state of society. If I ever became a somebody who cared about his reputation, deleting all my reddit accounts is one of the first things I'd do.

So is this sub only for white dudes? Should rename it to WGGTOW (white guys going their own way).

What ends up happening is that women pick the higher value man which makes it look like marriage correlates well with things like money, happiness, etc. But the causation is reversed; the richer man is simply more likely to get married. The single man has more time, money and opportunities, which probably leads to a longer life.

You can't trust Chinese numbers because it's a heavily censored dictatorship. It also took extreme measures like forced quarantine and rapidly constructing quarantine hospitals that western democracies won't be able to match. So at this point we really don't know where the upper bound is on this growth curve. Again world is not going to end. Just like the world didn't end in WWII or Spanish flew but those were tough times and that's where we're headed now.

Actually the red flag was a few months ago when China was literally shutting down and US military was preparing for a pandemic yet the media and governments were unusually silent, trying to keep the population calm. Doesn't matter what they say. Look at what they do. Also note that we have no idea how many were actually infected/killed in China but given that they've literally killed doctors, journalist and shutdown their internet in an attempt to control the narrative, it's safe to assume the r…

there's ~1.3k cases in the US at the moment, rounded down let's say 1k assume cases double every week (it seems to follow an exponential growth curve), it'll be at 50k in 5-6 weeks I think the biggest changes will not be directly from the virus but from the economic slowdown, over loaded hospitals and changes in social norms as people start to avoid large group gatherings

Yep, the good times which created the weak men who allowed feminists to flourish are coming to an end. I expect female dating strategy will need to be updated.

It's a novel virus, meaning no one is immune It's airborne, you can literally get it just by sharing the air with an infected person Entire families are being killed, whole countries being locked down, economic recession, etc. Most healthy people will probably survive but this is going to have a lasting economic and sociatal impact. What you are demonstrating right now is called normalcy bias.

Wake up and look at the world around you. Climate change, pandemics, people struggling just to survive, family structure breaking down, etc. In this chaotic world, having few attachments brings a level of peace that not even money can buy. I don't have to worry about the big picture because I have no horse in the race. As a single man, you're in the absolute best position to handle any adversity that life throws your way. You give up all of that when you bring a kid into this messed up world. To…

That's why I'm a huge fan of technical interviews. It's easy to fake work experience, university grades, referrals, etc. Especially if you have thirsty guys tripping over themselves to come to your rescue.

I found a simple way to deal with parents who want to get you into an arranged marriage; tell them you'll go for it...once you find the right one. When they see the demands and the level of entitlement that most women today have, they'll start to understand. When you remove the make up, the camera angles and the filters, most women really aren't that good looking. There are only a small handful that are genuinely beautiful and they tend to be the most entitled. Overall it's just easier to say no…

Before watching his interview on Joe Rogan I used to think the same. He's not a candidate that can be understood from soundbytes. This is a short clip from that interview: https://youtube.com/watch?v=hS9wOdenEys&t=3s

Seems like the DNC is trying its best to lose again to Trump. You guys should look into Andrew Yang. There's a good reason why he has support from both republicans and democrats. Would recommend checking out his podcast with Joe Rogan if you're unaware. For some reason, the DNC and the mainstream media really don't want an outsider like him to win, very similar to Trump in 2016.

When I get banned/attacked just for posting on here, that in of itself is a redpill. Despite all the education and all the modern technology, people still subscribe to group think and ad hominem fallacies.

The pain of occasional loneliness Vs. The pain that comes from relationships We all must pick our poison. You may almost never feel the first one if you play your cards right. The second one could kill you no matter what you do.

This was also mentioned in "the manipulated man", great read/listen.

I think it gets easier as you get older and find more things to do. Things that would have never been possible if you were tied down in a relationship.
/r/MGTOW26/04/19 02:24 PM

Depends on how you interpret it. I think it's especially relevant in today's consumer driven society where it seems like you can buy a solution to almost every problem yet the real path to improvement is something that is only found within yourself. For example, there is no diet, exercise or personal trainer who can help you get fit if you don't have the resolve to change.
/r/MGTOW22/04/19 07:56 PM

Exactly. Men think that they want freedom but real freedom comes with heavy choices. It's easier to be a slave.

Most people have good intentions but the effects of social policies like feminism on a macroscopic long term scale is beyond the ability of our species to predict. Human nature itself may never change but it is heavily shaped by far less predictable forces such as technology, economics, politics, etc. It always seems obvious in hindsight.
/r/MGTOW10/03/19 11:20 PM

Going your own way is simple but it's not easy. We are biologically hardwired and programmed by society to pursue relationships.

For people who think that there is a "solution", dating apps and social media have permanently changed our society. There is no going back. Most people will need to repeat the same mistakes before they learn. That is why the cycle will continue and the only thing that can disrupt it is technology.

I don't care what women think and neither should you. MGTOW is about the individual, not a movement that hopes to impact society at large. It shows the common guy that he's not crazy for wanting to opt out; that their is another way and that a man can live life without ever "settling down" and still be happy, if not happier.

Initially, it's a bitter pill. Then you'll have ups and downs. There will be days where you will be happy to GYOW and there will be days where you want to go back to the plantation. After GYOW for some time, you start to appreciate the new opportunities you have and how much simpler and better your life has become.

The top "articles" are literally just what people are talking about. There's usually little substance in them, that's why I stopped reading them. The same can be said for a lot of what passes as "news."

Happy/successful guys are more likely to be in a relationship in the first place while depressed/unsuccessful guys are more likely to remain single. A relationship can easily convert the former to the latter (hence MGTOW). For men, relationships generally won't change who we are for the better, so there is not much to gain but they definitely will limit our freedom and there can be a lot to potentially lose.

Even in the ideal marriage/kids scenario, one essentially becomes a slave to society through marriage and a slave to their genes through procreation. It's important to understand that our genes have their own agenda which may not be in alignment with ours. To go against our biological programming is an ability that's unique to humans.

I've never seen a unicorn but I have see people who have found sincere and honest wives that are committed to them for life. I thought I found one too and I was wrong but I'm not going to say that all women are like that because of one bad experience. That said, I admit that I feel conflicted. I often read things on here that put into words the same thoughts/feelings I've had. I realized today that when I think about relationships and marriage, it feels depressing. When I just focus on my life, …

I'm going through a divorce right now but for the time I was married, it was worth it and I understood why people did it. If a happy marriage is the ideal choice then how are MGTOW not just a group of dudes rationalizing their own failure?
