It's good that you are thinking about these things now. Yes it may suck to not have gone to that trip. But now evaluate your performance and identify where you went wrong and don't repeat that next time. You might suck next time as well but less until the moment that you get better at it. Keep on improving your self and never, NEVER, compare your self to some one else. You don't know what that person had to go through to get to where he is now.
