I'm sorry, how was this petty? I was only trying to point out a truth. I even thought the same thing as the poster I was responding to and somehow found myself feeling differently when I read that OP was female, so even I'm guilty of prejudice in this case. It certainly wasn't meant to be petty, and I think it's relevant.

OP is a girl, she can get away with writing that.

Not what I was trying to say, at all. What I was saying is that "we are men" and as such we draw strength from one another, and because "we are men" we are never alone.

Honestly, yes. The thing I thought was that "we are men." We don't resort to this. To be fair this is high school, but this looks like a mirror of a feminist poster. We are men. We address our issues head on, the way men do. We don't need anyones sympathy, we aren't all victims, we are men. And when we confront the issues facing us we confront them without playing like we are weak, because we are men.

There aren't many of those instances, but yeah, this counts as one in my book.

People say "literally Hitler" a lot, but IMO this notion may be more evil. Hitler's victims suffered until they died, and he couldn't hurt them any longer. This is the most evil suggestion I've seen seriously put forth from a supposedly legitimate academic, at Oxford no less.

You aren't escaping forever. So you would kill yourself? And let possibly the greatest evil man has ever inflicted upon man to continue without offering any resistance. This scenario is so out there it's almost not even worth considering, but if it ever did happen, I wouldn't hesitate one second to take as many out with me as I could.

I'm not saying if I'm falsely accused now I'd resist, but if sentencing ever became this sort of unimaginable torture, at that point the people coming to take you away are willingly putting themselves on the side of evil.

If I'm ever falsely accused of a crime and facing 1,000 years of torment, I can guarantee you I won't be taken alive.

I shouldn't say "feminist" apparently. I just believe in equality for both sexes.

I'm sorry. As a feminist, you should stand as a masculinist. Two sides to a coin. Stand up for equal rights regardless of what your balls look like!

"When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him." -Jonathan Swift edit: Thank you! John Kennedy O'Toole deserves it though! Reading "Confederacy of Dunces" was, by a long shot, the wisest decision I made my freshman year of college. (Bad decisions were made)

Does she realize that by her logic the male of every species of mammal is by definition a rapist? The total--and yet supremely confident--ignorance of biological evolution is truly astounding in this case.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
