Same I mean they’re called dance clubs not make out with randos after 10 minutes clubs. Sure it happens but it’s not the norm.

I’m 31 but even in high school people knew me as the person that was always connecting other kids together. I moved a lot so I knew a ton of kids! I also don’t have any sort of jealousy issues so I don’t care if people become friends/lovers and ditch me in the end. Whatever happens happens.

That’s funny because I’ve had this conversation with my husband because I’m always confused when guys don’t want to stay friends with me unless I’m fucking them (in the past). Like dude don’t you want to fuck me AND my hot friends? I’ve set up my guy friends with soooo many women. I put a lot of effort into my relationships and the guys that have stuck by me get to reap the benefits while putting almost no effort in. I’m constantly inviting them to parties, baking them cakes to celebrate their a…

Yeah this post is ridiculous to me. I’m married and I LOVE setting up my guy friends with my hot girl friends. I literally just did this weekend at my best friends party and I’ve gotten multiple couples married. I’ve always been naturally good at making connections though and matchmaking is my passion project. The two people I just set up this weekend I’ve known for only a few months. I feel like what makes me successful is I’m constantly meeting and making new friends.

Wow that’s so insane! My friend got completely banned on tinder because she didn’t respond to some of her matches.

Make sure you report him to Tinder. Someone on OKC did this to me and started sending me crazy essay long messages and one was about how he had a dream he beat me up?!!! Truly psychotic.

This is a really good idea. He could’ve started chatting people up and talked about how he just got stood up in a light hearted way. I remember once when my date ditched me at the club I told the event photographer who took me under his wing and he introduced me to this couple who had table service and they just had me sit at their table and introduced me to everyone that came by and it totally turned my night around.

“This is the problem with pushing people who have never been in a relationship like this when you're married/engaged; you're putting that person in an awful spot. You're essentially telling them that after all this time of exclusively, that they're in the end not enough for you, but you still love them and want to keep them, but you want to fuck other people when you choose to. And you think that allowing them to do so as well will convert them to your way of thinking. Trouble is, they're still …

I think it’s important too. My best friend has terrible deep acne scars. I honestly don’t ever remember her having bad acne growing up but the scars are the worse I’ve ever seen. I watched her put makeup on the other week and I was shocked that she put on 3 layers of foundation and then concealer. She is a shopaholic who is always complaining about her acne scars. I finally convinced her yesterday to go get a consultation at the medispa I go to and she got a microneedling facial. I was so happy …

Yes I think it really depends on where you live! I know two women trying to get pregnant right now and one is 38 and the other is 42! Of course that’s an extreme but another commenter made a good point here that it’s better to wait a little so you’re in a better place in life to have children even if that means you being a little older. It will be easier in the long run if you’ve finished school and have a steady income, own a home, etc before having a child because I imagine it would be much ha…

This might be anecdotal but I was just at a wedding last week where the bride was 42 years old with two kids and the groom was a never married eye surgeon and the most “presidential” person I’ve ever met. He gets chosen for every leadership position. She is a power woman but she absolutely dotes on him and I think that plays a big part. Men will see that and appreciate that.

Update: 2 minutes after I wrote my comment my husband walked into the room asking if I wanted to share a sleep mask with him and I said no and he was all “okay I’m gonna put it on and tell you all about my skincare routine after” he’s so adorable!!!

Oh this is a good idea!!! I literally just lined them up for him everyday until it wasn’t working anymore because he would just place the bottles back wherever 😂 but luckily he has it memorized now. He’s even better than me now with his skincare routine! My friend got me an at home microdermabrasion wand and he is super pumped for me to use it on him. We watched a bunch of tutorial videos together today. My skin is super sensitive so I’m happy he’s letting me practice on him first!

I can’t tell from your post if you have a husband or not? If you’re married by then you’ll most likely have good health insurance and if not then I think you should probably focus on finding a suitable partner first. I had a really strict timeline when I was younger that I always told everyone about. I wanted to be married with kids and a career by 25. I didn’t even finish my masters until I was 27! Freezing your eggs at 25 is pretty extreme in my opinion but I’m not sure if it is medically. You…

Swear less is a good one. I’ve had that as my resolution before but I still haven’t achieved it but it’s a terrible habit I have. I grew up in a dysfunctional household and my dad and brother swear NONSTOP (they still do) so I think that’s where I picked it up from. I’m married now but when I was dating there were a few guys that commented negatively on how much I swore. Thanks for reminding me that I should definitely work on it more! Good luck to both of us!

Agreed! These things come easier to me as well and I would like to think I’m helping my husband be able to focus on more important things. He finally bought some nice leather shoes and I helped him clean and shine them the other day. I noticed they were getting creased from walking so I ordered some cedar shoe trees to keep their shape. He loves when I just take care of things like that for him, especially because it wouldn’t have even occurred to him to get shoe trees. I can’t even tell you how…

I think also helping them works. They’re not very good when it comes to taking hints. I’ve taken lots of my boyfriends shopping and I set my husband up with a stylist and his clothes have upgraded dramatically. I just straight up tell them. There is no point in beating around the bush. I would want someone to do the same for me. I would be mortified if I found out later I didn’t take someone’s hint that my feet were crusty or my breath was bad or I had yellow teeth.

I feel like I’ve been lucky it hadn’t been worse! Probably just social conditioning though that my bar is set so low haha. Another time I was walking at 1am out of the subway to my car in the dark alone and this guy followed me the entire way asking me for a hug. WHY WOULD I HUG YOU. When I think about it now I think how lucky I was he wasn’t more aggressive because we were the only ones on the street with no lights!

Yeah I try to have a serious look on my face when I’m walking through the sketchy area of town but I don’t know if it’s working. I also wear glasses and I think it makes me look even more vulnerable for some reason. My husband got me some cute hello kitty pepper spray but I’ve yet to test it out but I know I should probably learn how to use it. I’m convinced I’m gonna spray my own face in a moment of panic 😂 I’ve only been followed four times but that’s four times too many. Once this guy gave me…

Yeah I always see people complaining about getting catcalled but I’ve never had the weird creepy LET ME CUM ON YOUR FACE catcalls. Beyond the times I’ve been followed, all of them have been pretty pleasant and harmless. It’s always been “love your earrings!” “Great dress” “killin it in those heels” and I just smile and keep walking.

I’ve been catcalled and followed. My dad once told me while meeting me on the street that he observed that I looked kind and that I looked weak. I’m only 4’11 and teeny tiny and I look really approachable. I also look super young. I just can’t imagine the creepy men who follow me to follow some of my friends who look like they could defend themselves. I also watched a lot of America’s Most Wanted growing up and it’s made me paranoid to stand up for myself in situations like that. I don’t want to…

I just read those strips are banned there! I used to use them a lot but they made my teeth really sensitive. I’ve been helping my husband whiten his teeth. We use carbamide peroxide (super cheap for the generic kind if you can get it where you are) and a LED light. It’s been the easiest method and I’ve been whitening my teeth for the past decade. I know it sounds complicated but it’s really easy!! I highly recommend it. We’ve also gotten professional teeth whitening together and in my option it’…

This is perfectly written!!! Thank you!!!! I know how happy I feel when my husband loves the gifts I get him and I would be really discouraged if he was constantly complaining or didn’t thank me for my efforts. I’ve also noticed the self fulfilling prophecy of “my husband will probably forget my birthday this year and not get me anything” and they do nothing to change it and then they get upset when their husbands do end up forgetting or not doing enough. Oh sorry you misunderstood! We own two homes and rented them out while we were out of the country. My husband and I were previously living together in his home by ourselves. Thank you!!!! This guy sounds terrible tbh. You work a full time job and he expects you to help him with his work in your downtime?! Would he do the same for you if you asked him? Being a captain doesn’t mean he can take advantage of you. My husband would never ask me to do anything like that, not when we were dating and definitely not while we’re married. Going through the same thing with my husband. How do you deal with the frustration when your husband doesn’t listen to you though? I’ve told him multiple times his best friend is just using him (backed up with 20 examples) but my husband is a people pleaser and he will say he agrees with me then a week later go back and be a doormat to his best friend. It drives me crazy that someone would take advantage of him like that and that he is refusing to see it.

My husband and I eloped after 7 months of dating. We were casual for about 5 months and only exclusive for 2 months. We agreed to get married at the end of the year 2017. He asked me if I felt like I was engaged one night sitting on the sofa watching tv and I said no because there was no real proposal so he got down on one knee and proposed (with no ring). That’s interesting. It hasn’t been mine. I live in SF and there are genius successful men by the dozen and very few of them have cared what my professional role was. I’ve always dated extremely accomplished older men and they were totally content inviting me to their company holiday parties, coworkers weddings, dinners with the partners at their firm, etc. My husband now makes 10x my salary and he let me retire at 27 since I don’t exactly have any kind of career and my time would be better spent…

I am extremely frugal too. 90% of my wardrobe are designer hand me downs I’ve gotten for free that I would never pay for usually. I know an exec that gets tailored clothes overseas via eBay. You could try that. Just get your measurements and there are a ton of options online you could get and you would only need a few key pieces. You could try Etsy too but I think eBay is probably cheaper. I have a $100 wool pea coat I purchased in Shanghai made to measure and it’s amazing and lasted me through …

I would never sign one either but luckily it never came up during our marriage, not sure if my husband was ever secretly considering one since he makes 10x my income but I doubt it. He also has significant assets. As soon as we got married we opened a joint account where he put 50k in for us. Maybe it depends on where you live and the kind of guys you’re dating? I’ve been on $600 first dates and never saw the guy again. Had another $800 dinner and the guy dumped me two dates after. Some successful guys don’t really care much to my disbelief like what’s the point of spending so much on a date just to ghost right after? We just did a 2am sunrise hike up a volcano and my husband was itching to ditch our guided hike because the other couple was painfully slow (the girl was already vomiting on the way to the volcano and she stopped every 10 minutes for a rest). I wanna know too! My husband is always saying he loves how feminine I am but I don’t even think I’m feminine! Curious what the obvious traits are

I’m getting healthier! I am always always sick with something and my husband is amazing at taking care of me but it’s always been a bear for both of us. He always says he wants me healthy so he can spend as many years as he can with me!!! We’ve been working out together a ton, cut out drinking, eating healthier, and getting more sleep. He compliments me everyday on how much better I’ve been looking. It’ll be a long road before I’m truly healthy though but happy I have someone on my side now!

Thanks so much for the response that was such a great answer. I think I was just confused too since it was the Taliban so I was surprised anyone would care.

This might be a stupid question but why is it bad that he did that?? Is it because dead bodies are sacred?

I actually didn't realize she was saying that. I thought she kept saying "why you laughin" over and over again and couldn't picture that calm guy laughing at her ever
