That’s fine.

Eh this seems extreme. Nothing wrong with putting some effort into one’s appearance. There are definitely beauty standards in general, but that doesn’t need to be the case. Honestly haven’t seen any dudes irl that I’ve known or known of that I’d call Greek god like lol. If anything, soft boys are in. It’s kinda sad how you put it that girls are taught how to dress do make up etc. like damn While boys are having fun girls are learning to be palatable?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 09:15 AM
1

Okay lol
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/22 12:15 AM
1

I mean I get the sentiment but everyone should care a little bit about what other people think just in terms of not being a jerk
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/22 12:12 AM
1

That’s very interesting. I haven’t had that experience with bdsm folks, it’s not unusual to just talk with people at a club or chill. Just curious what do you think is involved with bdsm? Like you said you don’t like faux violence during sex, but bdsm doesn’t necessarily involve sex. Just interested no need to answer if you don’t want
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 04:46 AM
1

Bdsm doesn’t have to involve sex just fyi!
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 04:43 AM
1

👍
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 01:56 AM
1

Yeah I’m getting that. Too bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 01:53 AM
1

That’s true. I was hoping to get more perspective here
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 01:50 AM
1

I mean okay that’s just…kinda boring and also ignoring a whole population.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 09:09 PM
1

Uh I mean if we’re just talking about cis people sure
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 10:58 AM
1

I mean that’s fine I prefer the direct source
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 03:38 AM
1

I mean first article doesn’t have any sources so I’m disregarding that one. I’d be interested to know more about the sample populations Looks like U.s. and some parts of Europe which is kind of limiting. Idk if I could read the actual studies I’d be able to say more, but this looks more like correlation
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 03:27 AM
0

I mean I’m asking where you’re getting that from. Like is there a survey? For example
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 02:54 AM
1

How are you getting the preference tho lol like where is that from
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 02:45 AM
2

How do we know that women want to “look up” to men?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/22 02:22 AM
1

Personally I don’t understand wanting to change yourself in a huge way like this for a partner. Obviously some changes are good like don’t be toxic, but if you’re trying to do something that affects the rest of your life and having empathy is it really worth it?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/22 05:15 AM
1

Uh
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/22 05:10 AM
1

I guess I’m a beta since the whole alpha thing is totally real and not based on an unscientific study I think this is more than possible. Me and my partner tell each other we love each other every day and she hasn’t lost attraction for me (I’m assuming since we’re together and talk through everything) I guess I’m confused on this idea that emotions are a turn off for women? Like what’s this from? Personal experience? A study?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/22 05:07 AM
1

It’s not. If we get along and love each other that’s what matters
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/22 05:00 AM
2

That’s more than fair, I hope more men in this thread start calling out gross shit like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 11:12 PM
1

Oh wow weird and disturbing
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 10:32 AM
0

Or feminism for that matter. You lost me tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 10:00 AM
0

Wait what do conservative friends have to do with this?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:59 AM
2

I’m asking why you’re mentioning teen girls
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:59 AM
1

That’s weird she’s say that with the information you’ve given.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:57 AM
1

There’s rape and there’s not rape. Obviously don’t go beating people up and especially if you don’t have the facts Saying not resisting doesn’t seem like consent imo, or saying no. That’s why communication is important
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:56 AM
1

Same. Dudes that aren’t communicative in that way scare me tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:55 AM
0

I’m autistic and it’s quite common so 🤷🏼
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:53 AM
2

That would be rape and no one lets themself be raped dude. The whole point is to assault someone
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:50 AM
0

You can also outright ask too.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:49 AM
0

That’s anecdotal tho that means that the women you’re talking to are saying that, which might be a few l, but that’s not representative of all women at all
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:45 AM
2

I mean I thought people knew about basic consent but 🤷🏼
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 04:25 AM
0

I mean you don’t need to be dominant or assertive though? Like if that’s you cool, but like not all dudes are like that. Personally would rather be a pussy. I’d rather be safe and sure than make someone uncomfortable. There’s no way to guarantee y’all are on the same page.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 04:24 AM
1

Normal Jfc autism is so common lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 04:20 AM
3

Shoot tell that to my gf lol. Also men take sounds gross and rapey. Not to be harsh, but gross.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 01:19 PM
-3

So are you saying this as an autistic person
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 01:18 PM
1

What does being autistic have to do with this
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 01:05 PM
11

Why does asking for consent make a dude a pussy
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 12:58 PM
0

Wait why are you bringing teen girls into this?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 12:56 PM
1

I mean I’d rather get explicit consent than not. Some people think that ruins the mood but I’d rather everyone be on the same page. Are you just talking about heterosexuals? I mean it’s harassment if it’s unwanted. By public eye do you mean celebrities?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 12:55 PM
4

Bruh what. This is making so many leaps
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 12:57 AM
1

Also is this just for married persons or unwed people as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 10:52 AM
1

My dude this is like a human socializing issue, no amount of law is going to fix this problem without causing other issues. Extramarital affairs happen and the other party in the relationship might get a kid that isn’t biologically their child, and for some people biological kids are very important. This is like a moral and ethics issue that needs to change at the social level, Strict laws on paternity if anything will just fuel more anti govt shit
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 10:48 AM
1

Why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 10:42 AM
2

We’re just talking about cisgender heterosexuals right? If not this whole plan needs major rethinking
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 08:41 AM
1

How doesn’t this effect women?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 08:38 AM
1

Do tell
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 08:34 AM
1

Maybe men shouldn’t have unprotected sex with random women? It can go either way dude
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 08:33 AM
1

If we’re just talking about cis people true
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 08:32 AM
2

Uh the stuff you linked says that of the men who get paternity tests 32% not 32% of all men Also thiese articles are 10+ years old and might not have much accuracy anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 08:30 AM
1

Mmm that might not be what the mom wants. I’m not averse to rapists having to literally pay though
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 10:37 AM
1

women cant even access abortion easily all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 01:01 AM
1

not all men. definitely not rapists sexual abusers.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 12:59 AM
1

mm i feel like rapists could use this as a loophole, otherwise sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 12:53 AM
1

what are you getting this from lol
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 12:50 AM
2

can i get a link to these stats. this seems like it'd just be a pain if someone is giving their infant up after they're born, or if a couple uses a surrogate.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 12:50 AM
1

Copy that
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 04:17 AM
1

Counseling and working out stuff together are great in conjunction for some folks. All parties in the relationship imo should be responsible for the relationship and fixing problems when they arise, and communicate openly
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 04:16 AM
2

Yeah I would. There’s no reason for me not to 🤷🏼
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 04:14 AM
1

Is this just for cis people?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 04:12 AM
1

Okay then put that in the title dude. 🙅‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 06:38 PM
1

Okay so women have it good when it comes to getting laid. Cool? There’s more to life than sex bro
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 06:21 PM
16

Bruh do you really need to call people ugly? Like why the comment on acid attack survivors looks? I know you’re trying to ask a question but damn that’s messed up
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 11:10 AM
1

Ooh I’ll check it out
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 10:59 AM
2

Oh shit awesome
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 08:59 AM
0

For free access?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 07:36 AM
1

Too bad there’s no free access to the whole study and not jus the abstract
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 04:47 AM
2

Not if they aren’t attracted to men lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 04:43 AM
1

I mean not sure where you live but in the u.s. it’s being talked about more, but I wouldn’t say rape is always heavily punished, especially in universities. I think it’s getting better, it’s just still not enough. Of course there will be false allegations unfortunately- just look at some of the towns that were wiped off the map or literal children killed because white women would lie about being raped or assaulted by black boys and men - even a few years ago a woman tried to say a black kid assa…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 07:28 PM
1

I mean there’s definitely something to be said for rape culture, and also statistic’s are super incomplete because a lot of it is self reported, it’s important to recognize that male rape victims also exist. Also like biologically this doesn’t seem to include anyone who’s not cis, correct me if I’m wrong, but if so this is also incomplete data since sexual assault against queer people especially trans people is super high, especially against trans women of color.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 07:24 PM
1

Uh what?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 06:41 PM
3

So is your comment just about in terms of getting laid or like actually getting into a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 10:59 AM
0

Wait… sexual market value? That sounds…kinda degrading
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 10:58 AM
2

Interesting any links?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 10:51 AM
1

Wait so you are saying you’re not complete if you aren’t with a woman? Or getting laid? Why do women need men?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 10:50 AM
5

And these numbers are from?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 10:07 AM
2

Where are you getting this from
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 10:07 AM
7

What does top 20 man mean What’s the 80/20 rule I’m so confused where are y’all getting these numbers
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 09:36 AM
2

Do you mean polygamy or polyamory? They’re different
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 09:25 AM
1

Uh psychosis is something that affects an individual so idk how that applies to this
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 07:51 PM
3

So if men aren’t men what are they
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:52 AM
1

I guess I don’t understand the whole alpha thing since the original study didn’t hold up and how it fits in with K-pop male idols. I guess I just have nothing to back up that they are betas or whatever or are usually less desirable. This seems to not really take into account different cultures and beauty standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:45 AM
1

Interesting. What happens when we throw other sexualities and genders into the mix
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:28 AM
1

Okay lol
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 09:50 AM
1

So this is a fact?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 09:37 AM
1

So you wouldn’t say the way dating apps are designed control dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 09:14 AM
1

How so
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 09:11 AM
1

Controlling dating? Interesting
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 09:10 AM
2

Also are you saying women are only attractive cause of looks but men have more than that like
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 08:42 AM
2

Sounds like the world needs to change so stuff like that isn’t seen as important.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 08:41 AM
2

i think it's more expectations of men not sharing or processing feelings and being tough.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 05:55 AM
1

Also is this literally only for cisgender heterosexuals? If so, these statistics have no chance of being close to accurate
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/22 10:44 PM
1

So is this just pseudo statistics or… like Jfc. Why reduce individuals to a number or worry about getting laid or dating? Like whyyyy surely you could be spending time on something fun or a hobby. I’m so lost y’all wtf
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/22 10:23 PM
5

I am so lost
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/22 10:15 AM
1

Making a lot of assumptions. Firstly while some folks see themselves as being one gender in the past but transition into another one, but a lot of people don’t. If you’d like to be more inclusive you could use trans woman, trans man, etc. I noticed you brought up binary trans people but not non binary people which was what I asked about in my original comment. I guess you’re unfamiliar?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 07:48 PM

i guess non binary people get the best or worst of both worlds?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 04:32 AM
1

Go lower. Wow. These really aren’t the only options. For example it sounds like you’re only talking about heterosexual men, and all men ain’t that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 11:26 PM
1

I mean I’m sure that’s a big part. Like if a guy that likes women isn’t doing what they both want during sex that’s kind of off putting or a turn off for the woman
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 01:52 AM
1

I mean they might not have sex with women first off. Secondly, what if parents just encouraged their kids to communicate their wants and needs and be honest with themselves and others
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 08:28 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
