If you read the book “the gift of fear” by Gavin De Becker it describes a situation in which a woman didn’t want to seem racist and ended up getting violently raped. When a man is attacking you, it’s not the time for white guilt. Violent men should face the consequences of their actions. Your safety trumps their right to freely roam the streets attacking women. You are not helping black women, who are overwhelmingly the victims of gendered violence when you protect violent men. You are just help…

We’re subhuman to vast majority of men. We do not matter. That’s why value affirming communities like this one are so important.

This makes me think that my standards are still too low, because I am wondering what else is so normalised that I don’t even notice it. I am starting to question if a large chunk the “good” and nice men don’t fully see us as human. This sub has certainly opened my eyes

Also if it’s an open relationship she’ll have no problem knowing right????? Why do people advocate for the cheater in that scenario. The victim could literally get life changing health problems from his STDs. Not to mention she has the right to informed consent.

Yes. Yes. Yes. The police are not there to protect you. They are there to prosecute. We all need to take whatever measure necessary to protect ourselves

This is how the MAJORITY of men use these apps. I’ve heard several past male friends describe how they swipe right on everyone, literally exactly like this, as fast as they can. If you match with a guy on a dating app, it means nothing. He might not even find you physically attractive. He is literally only looking for free sex work.
