https://www.dailypress.com/news/crime/dp-nws-elizabeth-coast-sentencing-20130819-story.html She did get some jail time, but certainly got off a bit lighter than others would have, I would agree a pass is here.

Read the article it says 1 can still potentially be charged as an adult. Also least have been changed as they should be, we shouldn't be charging juveniles as adults.

The laws are different for juveniles.

Not sure this is a pussy pass. Age is the factor here. They are both juveniles.

So the facts of this case are disputed and currently being litigated. Not sure this counts as a pass. He said / she said situation here.

Full Story here Not sure how this was the mom's fault, she didn't make him threaten the judge, and he was acquitted.

I disagree, if she was a first offender, and didn't actually touch a live person, I think man or woman would have been sentenced similarly. Also she will be a registered sex offender which is a strong scarlet letter that has sever impact on her for the rest of her life. I truly believe there are many instances where women get off easy compared to men, this is just not really a strong example of that.

Actually that is not true regarding her name being censored. That is whoever posted that picture censoring the Daily Mail article that went into great detail on this story.

After reading the story, this lady needs some serious help, to have a baby with a kid, then pass the baby off as her husband's, and then lie and say the kid rapes her when caught, lots of issues here. And the baby is now with child services. 4 lives ruined.

It definitely does happen frequently, also it all depends on the jurisdiction, also 2.5 years is nothing to sneeze at, probably getting sex offender status slapped on as well. I would argue she didn't come off easy.

Sometimes much less if they make deals.

It was actually life in prison but commuted to 10 years, with 10 parole. Not an uncommon sentence.

$800 fine plus repair of the officers glasses.

10 years in prison with 10 years of parole. Not exactly a pass.

She got 6 of 11 years in prison. Not a pass.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
