Lol. He’s incredibly naive if he thinks her not graciously accepting his offer of divorce at this particular time means anything. She’ll get pregnant and file within a year or two. Then she’ll watch as his ambitions (ie hers) grow when he’s forking over 20+% of his wages in child support to her.

Tell that to the wife in a year when his ass is being served coming home from work

She’ll try to rip back the 50/50 and say “if you want equal custody you need to pay for it and if you want equal asset division than you can see me in court and goodluck getting 50% custody”. And who wants to risk time with their children over money when they can lock down 50/50 and rebuild.

Yea she probably realized “oh shit they know…” My money is on, in 3 months when she can pass a hair follicle test, divorce proceedings will resume. As the other person said, regardless of her motivations in “playing nice”, sexing you, apologizing, etc. she has not taken divorce off the table until she’s non-suited. Regardless, I’d be asking for a hair follicle drug screening. And for the love of god make sure you’re collecting evidence of her transgressions, shutting off the power, confrontation…

Ruthless man. Malicious and self-serving when it inevitably ends up suiting them.

She has to spend the money too right? So won’t she learn it’s not worth it to withhold the kids after you challenge her? Also does your attorney not think she’ll be held in contempt? You could also have it modified so that exchanges be mandated to take place at a fire department, etc. with only the drop-off parent designated to get out of the car, put everything in the trunk of the other parents vehicle and the kids in the backseat, so there’s no excuse for fear of confrontation, contact, etc.?

Keywords provide ie marry for the utility. Kid first cool, money second? Insta third? Etc. :self labeled bad guy banging a bunch of single milfs - point proven.

If you don’t file a lawsuit for sexual discrimination, etc. than you’re never going to forgive yourself. You could prevent this from happening to another man, and they just gave a huge settlement out in NY for a similar case. Regardless you got to do it man.

Yea before she flips the script. Record everything discreetly on your phone until you get an audio recorder from Amazon that you can have on for the full shift in your pocket. When she grabs your ass make sure to vocalize what happened “please don’t grab my ass” and let her acknowledge her actions in her response. Do not let her know what you’re doing. Get as much as you can before going to HR. Save all your texts - email them to yourself and make sure dates are visible and texts overlapping. Th…

As heartless as this sounds, record. I’m case she walks this back, denies or attempts harmful things that could affect your child, or you. The fact is, if someone is willing to commit suicide, then they likely have stability issues where other things could be on the table. Regardless, you need to cover your bases for you and your child. Recording will also make changing custody for the safety of your child. Much easier. after you have secured this, you can attempt to aid her but I would not do i…

Would two people dating but not married or presenting themselves as such, but still cohabitating, still cause issue? I’m unclear on your point?

I’ve been through something similar and though you’re not asking and perhaps don’t need, I can validate everything you’re saying/feeling. The trauma, loss of sleep, weight loss, stress, anxiety and depression, from losing your child(ren) for however long, is in my experience as well, the most traumatic and challenging experience one can go through. It’s through subs like this, r/divorceddads and r/divorce_men that I was able to find some semblence of peace, that other men have shared in some of …

It’s not assets men to be wary about - it’s family courts.

Srsly. If you’re a rich guy (read: any) that wants kids, just pay for a surrogate as a single parent. Then get snipped and feel free to marry with a prenup.

This I’m sure they’d be glad to know their TA is sleeping with the recently divorced mother of one of their students. Not creepy or unethical at all.

Do you know what that organization would need from me in order to furnish a letter to the court? She has familial ties to the Middle Eastern countries in question and I’d at least want restrictions for countries not part of The Hague convention or level 3/4 State Department warnings. Do you think it’s likely a judge would rule in my favor?
/r/Divorce_Men23/06/23 01:42 AM

Do you think it would be likely that a judge would rule to have those same restrictions if I filed for a modification?
/r/Divorce_Men23/06/23 01:39 AM

Yes, I am. And yes, she does. I am trying to gauge how likely it would be that a judge would rule to add that language, and hopefully also restricting countries that are at least level three or four. Do most US airlines like United, American, Delta, etc. require a letter of consent, signed by both parents?
/r/Divorce_Men23/06/23 01:38 AM

I don’t know but is it a risk you want to take? If you moved up there and then she tried to move again that’s when you immediately file your own motion to modify custody and a judge would likely make you primary or at least put a geo restriction on it as any judge will have to acknowledge moving the kid and then having to change schools is not in their best interest. Ask your attorney this. You’re essentially choosing your battle rather than going to a hearing now where a sexist judge/family cou…

Was there not a geographical restriction in the decree? There almost always is. Counties or miles, etc. If not then you may need to just move and follow her. Nothings more important than 50/50 time with your kid. Otherwise she’l alienate you to all hell. Don’t agree to anything less than 50/50 because anything less is your worst day in court.

Start looking for a new attorney. You losing your 50/59 if there’s a decree in place shouldn’t even be a possibility. And a contempt of court should be filed for her withholding custody.

Thank you for sharing that. I love this community. Be as proactive as you can be OP. Rediscover music, force yourself into a routine as best you can. Time will help as dark as it seems. There’s always hope and a future. Even if it’s years from now. As others have said your kids will also have a life beyond 18, as far off as that seems. Try and be the person you’ll want then to see.
