I want to support him to change because he will be happier. I couldn't care less about his body. But I know that physical activity is a free and healthy anti depressant that makes you release endorphines. I rather go camping than visit expensive hotels. Cook a homemade meal than go to a restaurant and because I'm from an european city I can bike anywhere I want too or use our great public transport system. Oh and no I have slept with two men in my life, because I actually believe that it can't b…

Thats what I try to do every morning but after two "no I'm still tired" I resign and work out alone. Because I don't want to be that co trolling "bitch". But tomorrow I will push him as hard as I can - who ever has regretted a workout?

I totally agree. Thats what I love about my relationship. We are there for each other, even when one partner is in a dark place. Otherwise a relationship is worthless. I'm just not sure when we are talking about being "sad, depressed" or actually "lazyness".

I love the analogy! I will remember this, if I ever come into the situation of being very wealthy before I have children. Thank you!

Thank you for this constructive advice and view on my situation! I have talked to him and he is unhappy about himself and his lack of discipline. One day he has is act together, but the next he is miserable. I try to be as easy, friendly and helpfull as possible, when he comes home from "work". I will just work more on myself, maybe that will reflect back on him - a bit ;-)

I totally agree with that. But he is unhappy with himself (just not unhappy enough to change something ;-). And I'm sure he would be a happier person if he would start putting more effort into his life. And I want to nudge him in the right direction. But maybe I should let go. Thank you for your advice!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
