How do I live without herI was there a couple years back. It still hurts, and there’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about my ex. My advice to you would be to accept that there’s nothing you can do about it and try to focus on your day to day. I know it doesn’t sound like much but mindfulness is your friend here. Take some time off work, get reoriented, and survive. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/05/25 09:24 AM
Don’t mind being alone but I hate being lonely. My wife left meEven though it’s awful, as others have said you have the benefit of being young. I lost my best friend too, except later in life. I know it hurts but the best advice I can give is to stop begging, this will only make things worse. It’s hard but try to accept that the situation is beyond your control. Women are fickle and say things but mean something else, it’s pointless to speculate because you may never know the real reason. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/02/24 04:45 PM
Update: [MI] Wife caught me in an affairIf you decide to go back you need to make sure that she actually forgives you. Just because she says she does, doesn’t mean she won’t hold it over your head and use it against you for the next 5 years. I’m not sure how long you have been married but also keep in mind that the longer you are together, the more she can clean you out if the divorce happens later. If she can’t actually forgive you, it’s better to walk away now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/02/24 05:09 PM
Ex is depressed and wants to die 2yrs out from the divorceOf course there are people who have gone through this and come out the other side. I wouldn’t completely cut off communication but you should slowly distance yourself so that he is forced to come to terms with you being gone. Someone close to him should encourage him to get help. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/02/24 10:22 PM
Bac together..There’s a lot to consider in terms of your past relationship with her, her having remarried, and the child. I think only you are going to know what the right move is here but I would take it slow. Maybe spend some strictly platonic time together to see if you are both in the right headspace. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/24 06:20 PM
I screw up, does it get better? That’s good to hear man. There’s always going to be rough patches and trips down memory lane. It’s part of the process and we are just working towards integrating and handling them better. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/01/24 11:06 PM
I screw up, does it get better?I think it’s important to accept that the situation with your wife is beyond your control. I know it’s easier said than done but now you have to try and shift your attention to the things that are within your control. Don’t beg, or act out of emotion. You can’t change the past, so be mindful and move forward the best you can. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/01/24 09:25 PM
It’s sad…I don’t have anything to offer that hasn’t already been said but I feel for you. I took a trip down memory lane last night too and went through the entire range of emotions. We just need to do our best to stay mindful and carry on. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/01/24 01:06 AM
Help. I feel lost.Accept what’s not in your control and focus on what is. Improve yourself and strengthen your relationship with your kids. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/11/23 06:59 PM
Did you love your wife?Definitely. In my case, I’m starting to realize it was more of a matter of not knowing how to love myself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/11/23 12:30 AM
Double WhammyI’m so sorry to hear that, so much loss in such a short period of time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/11/23 09:17 PM
