So if you were robbed but don't report it to the police then you were not robbed?

I never said more people are getting raped than robbed. I literally do not know anyone who has been dispossessed of personal property through threat of force. I do know many women who have been raped. All I was trying to do is suggest that rape isn't rare! Just because you don't experience it, or think it's common, doesn't mean that a lot of other people dont deal with it on a regular basis. I just want people to open your mind to the possibility of even a reasonable argument being placed on the…

I don't know a single person who has been dispossessed of personal property through threat of force. I had some money stolen from myself and a friend once in a hostel. But that is not robbery and is still less than the amount of women who I know who have been raped.

Thank you! Although we may not agree on some things, I'm glad we can be civil.

There is a reasoning behind why it is excluded. I don't personally agree with it all. And it's so dumb that's it's a fucking game about whether it is introduced substantively or for impeachment only, when we know a jury doesn't know the difference.

So I can only care about one or the other? Did I say I did not care about falsely accused or defendants right? Why must I be attacked for simply defending true rape victims! That's r/pussypassdenied for you. Actually! All I said was "rape is not rare." Literally started all this.

Yes, it is a stupid argument to say that rape is rare because you have little experience with it on a day to day basis.

I'm replying to each person individually. I'm using my experience so that you can appreciate how I develop my opinions. I've graduated, not that it matters. It's cringe worthy when discount my opinion because I want to give context to how I formed my opinion as opposed to every spouting the pro men's rights narrative with no support for what they r saying besides a few sensationalized stories.

I worked in a Domestic Violence Prosecution Center during law school, and actually prosecuted cases. I'm just saying, domestic violence often has little evidence... but you have to take it to court. What we supposed to do? Let every victim of domestic violence recant and continue to be beaten and raped until they die. Obviously prosecutors should not charge crimes they cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt. But some crimes lend themselves to being hard to prove. Just because we cant 100% prove …

If there is an attorney at the prosecutors office that I worked at whose sole job is to only handle rape cases, then it probably isn't that rare. I have had a lot of women open to me about it because in law school it has been a prevalent topic. You will be amazed the women you know that have suffered sexual assault if not rape. And sure, most anecdotes, but I don't need to score the internet for statistics to convince you. It easy to think something is rare because you never experience it. From …

I honestly know more people who have been raped then robbed. You will be so surprised by the amount of women if you are able to speak to enough and have them open up to you. I am from the liberal west coast, but I am in law school and talk a lot more about issues like this with women from all over the country. I was raised in a liberal bubble where people don't victim blame and I don't have personal friends I think would ever consider raping someone. But life is shitty, and a lot of people will …

You make points, but rape is not rare. We just don't realize it as dudes that don't and probably don't associate with asshole who do.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
