Marxism is radically materialist, post-structural gender feminism is based on radical social constructivism. Ideologically, they couldn't be further apart. The only similarity is that both ideologies spawned heavily collectivist movements and that the left has a penchant for both of them. Stop calling it cultural marxism. It makes no sense at all.

Well, most of our battles are defensive or - in the strictest sense of the word - reactionary ones: The fight to keep or reinstitute due process rights for college men, for example. There no new or fancy idea to throw around, it mostly consists in exposing the lunacy of the other side.

At first. Remember: The third wave started out with promises to be more sex-positive and inclusive. It was very much a reaction to faults of second wave radical feminism. So, what happened? Little by little, the sane ones left the movement and we were left with batshit insane radicals again. There is going to be a new wave promising egalitarianism (I think Emma Watson was the first move in that direction). But give it ten years and it is going to be the same shit all over again.

They aren't objecting because its an idolized image. I know. This is a stupid to thing to dissent over, and its hypocritical for us to. I disagree. Shirtgate is a bullying tactic to push an idiotic agenda (namely, the notion that STEM fields are not pandering to women enough and that that has to be changed).

Its a depiction of women as sex objects and decoration, which they object to - especially in the professional world. Again, highlighting one aspect of somebody's being is not equivalent to them being reduced to an object. When I compliment my barber about his good work, I am not reducing him to a cutting-object. No, that would still be a bad analogy because it would depict them in a bad light, highlighting a negative trait. The shirt - as tacky as it is - is depicting these women in a positive light, it is highlighting their sexyness.

I am sympathetic towards some of the ideas of first-wave feminists and I am very sympathetic towards (classical) liberal feminism whose proponents nowadays seem to call themselves equity feminists. Another strategy (with admittedly limited use) is to substitute "black people" or "jews" for "men" in their statements. A good rule of thumb: if it sounds incredibly racist and abhorrent, it is probably time for them to reconsider their views.

I don't think that is where that word stems from. And I also haven't seen it used much for male shaming. The only place where I see it frequently being used are male dominated places (gaming communities, image boards etc.), where men use it to insult each other, but not with the intent of gender-shaming the attacked.

I agree with your reasoning. But the thing is that the wage gap myth is used as a lever to push for legislation that discriminates men in the workplace (you know, for "compensation"). In several European countries, there are fixed quota systems in place which deny men equal opportunity (both to get a promotion and to get a job in the first place). My advice for talking about these issues in real life: Keep it simple. Don't bother with statistics if you can't link to them. As far as other people are concerned, you could just as well have made them up. Use simple analogies instead. Poke at logical inconsistencies. Ask others how they would feel if the genders were reversed. Take the wage gap, for example. If you can't deliver a lecture on statistics, don't. Eh, at this point, I could probably start a feminist tumblr. I've become quite good at making up signs of female oppression. Once you got the vocabulary down and the basic principles (women are children without agency, men are demonic conspirators), it's easy. It's quite the party trick.

Sadly, I found this to be the case: Men are not allowed to complain, or hurt. Quite, ironically the only acceptable ways to talk about men's issues, it seems, is from a position of power: you may mock feminists for their logical inconsistencies, or you may start a funny and sarcastic rant every once in a while (think Dr. Cox of scrubs fame), but you may never do so in a way that suggests weakness or hurt, or else you're ridiculed for it.

The difference between a MHRA and a PUA, as I see it: Both interpret our society as being "gynocentric patriarchy" (a small circle of elite men - and some women - catering to female needs, using the feminist horde as useful idiots). The MHRA says: This is conflicting with my sense of justice, lets change the system.
