3	A new shit test: need advice on how to diffuse. Totally a shit test, even to my inexperienced senses. This is somewhat delicate, in my opinion. Agree and amplify, as always, but pay special attention to your word choice and tone. For example, I would recommend asking her if she saw you talking to another (possibly-fictional) HB8 just then, and if she was jealous? It may also work to treat her question like a joke. I love the conversation starters idea. I have a lot of the same fears as you do, so it's very encouraging to hear that they can be overcome. I'm a little curious, though, how you actually do overcome them. For instance, do you just force yourself to focus on the moment? This has helped me a little in the past, but it's still difficult to make conversation with anyone I don't know, let alone a woman I don't know.
