1	Video games are bad... are they? I think deep down you know you gotta stop the games because you can see that its affecting your social life. My advice is this - start by making a plan - what you want to achieve in the next year, what kind of other job you'd be interested in doing. I would suggest looking for something that plays on your strenghts - dexterity, problem solving, and analysis. One thing I forgot to mention - if you do not have kids with this guy - protect yourself. One of the ways his mother might try to assert control is to convince him that he needs to start a family and/or have kids. What you described in terms of the way his mother acts, is exactly how my grandmother was acting. She wanted to be the mother of everyone, and this is something which gives her a lot of power. Essentially in her mind, since she is doing a lot (or all) of the housework she can then use that as leverage for people to do as she says and acts offended when they do not comply. 1	Being fit is important to my boyfriend but I am too exhausted from my job to stay motivated.
