Fertility options such as IVF are also not as an easy option as one may think. Qualifying for NHS funding is complicated and the costs when paying out of pocket are astronomical. I think it's only taxed if the food/drink contains above a certain percentage of sugar, so some manufacturers have altered their recipes to avoid the tax and some have kept the recipes the same. For example, I sometimes buy a 4 pack of Monster Energy for £3.99, but now it costs £4.57, whereas the Sugar-free Monster Energy remains at £3.99 but I don't particularly like the taste of it.

I don't understand why some people feel the need to get expensive Hire Purchase contracts on brand new cars. When I got my job a couple of years ago, my dad lent me £1,000 for a then 13 year old Honda Jazz. Paid him back the full amount relatively quickly and still own the car to this day. It has allowed me to a get mortgage that otherwise I won't have be able to afford had I chosen the Hire Purchase route.
