TlDr: Bring it on, you picked the data source, I'm happy to go with it(unless it's suddenly biased in a way it wasn't when you linked to it yesterday). Also seriously annual rates vs lifetime victimization. It seem to be that you are at least as set in your own personal bias as you believe I am in mine. I explicitly noted that my estimate did not take repeat victims into account, and that I was aiming for a fermi estimate on the matter. Fermi estimates are not exact and the goal is to get a sens…

I think you are confusing annual incidents with lifetime victimization. Two completely different statistics. if 2 out of 1000 women are raped each year. Then, assuming each victim is a new person(for a fermi estimate), 2*30=60 or %6 of those thousand are raped in their lifetime. If we read your source a little bit more closely and take the rates for each year, and assume that despite the overall declining rate of rapes the 5:1000 stats from 1983-1995 was not higher over that period we have somet…

I think I have an idea for a new browser plugin. Replace a word with it's definition to plow through bullshit arguments and check them for coherence.

I like PA. I still criticize the hell out of how they handled this. The initial comic wasn't bullying at all. It was clever, funny, and apparently triggering to some subset of their fans. If Mike had said something to the effect of "Hey, I know that being a victim of rape can cause PTSD and I'm sorry for any pain I caused by mentioning it in a joke. The point was that the hero was required by the game to be complicit in the awful. Here's some resources to learn more about this Very Serious(TM) c…

They have a right to free speech, not to freedom from criticism for their speech.

Just look at Sweden's classrooms (where they also indoctrinate early grade schoolers with a SCUM Manifesto play Citation needed.

"Lean In" was a book about how women should be more aggressive in business if they want to succeed.

I"m not familiar with the concept of hypo agency. I'm assuming that hypergamy refers to marrying up and related practices.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
