canada does have trials without a jury. i don't know exactly how it works, but this trial has no jury - i think it can be requested by the defendant. that makes it more likely ghomeshi testifies but there seems to be no reason to take the risk of him saying something dumb. all three witnesses against him have revealed themselves as lying dingbats.

you obviously know more about the situation that the original post indicated but it still seems pretty unfair to me to call her an asshole based on an an anonymous internet post from over 4 years ago based on her work at a previous company who knows how long ago. that link says she worked with a design team on the logo, which is not the same as HERSELF. still haven't seen where the employees working from home were fired but maybe you've got more links out of the woodwork for that.
