maybe a co-op is what i'm looking for? i like the idea of living with a group of people, and naturally, you'll take on the culture of the group you join. the co-op's seem more free-spirited than the sororities

that's good! don't get too caught up in rules about how you are supposed to act. the trick is being relaxed enough that you can be spontaneous rather than boring!

What's because I'm a girl?

yeah i had a feeling something odd was happening with those sorority girls, they just seem to become part of this group hive girly girl mentality, it's not so pretty. Too bad there are not something like a sorority but where you don't have to adopt a "paradigm of behavior"

I guess if you want to hook up with dumb girls, sure, but I can't see anybody with half a brain falling for that shit.

please, never trust anyone named "imarapist" on reddit, not for anything my dear. if you meet a woman who is great for you and you hit it off, have a girlfriend. what's wrong with that? sometimes i think any advice on this seddit beyond "go out and talk to people, get used to being around people, just get out and get experience" is toxic... just a woman's 2 cents i know we're not exactly the experts here

I don't think any sorority would accept me, too counter culture and smart for their kind of primping, it actually disgusts me yeah i can see there being a correlation be greeks and success, mainly because both greeks and successful people are extra psychopathic

Seeing them as objects is key. NO NO NO! SEEING US AS PEOPLE IS KEY! If you treat women like objects, you're gonna have a bad time! Stuff like this really makes me wonder if this community has a lot of rapists in training. Jesus "seeing us as objects is key" please don't say that shit

You have no idea how terrible this sounds to me right now. Encouraging guys to grope women so they will get what they want...barf

I know it's hard to see women as more than a target for sex, you need to be able to look at us like people to get anywhere. Respect is key. We have like this radar for "guys just looking for sex" and you are not going to get it that way. (and seddit, as cool as they are, unfortunately can encourage a kind of unhelpful thinking) Just be natural, don't worry about your virginity. Fap if it helps you be less tense and worried about sex, and hang out with women, constantly, in nonsexual situations. …

have i been eye-raping my co-workers lately? j/k, no food carts in my library. and what kind of library has food carts? I'd say you could probably kiss a girl with such a stare down, if she's really being so bold. I wouldn't worry that much about conversation if maybe she's a shy little thing who just wants to stare into your eyes for a few minutes before kissing you ..i say let her <3 gl to you

It's good that you're seeing a therapist if you had issues with an unhealthy relationship, because those really can hold you back, especially if it was during your formative years. Don't listen to this windbag below about your "personal image being damaged" it's perfectly fine to be shy and vulnerable. actually the lone cold outsider (who is ok with himself for that) is a rather sexy figure! You probably have it better than more emotionally needy people like jerks and nice guys, and also you are…

yeah typical douchey frat guy stuff, now you can get laid by your choice of guy, high gpa or sports...ugh shoot me now.

there is something about speaking your mind here, isn't it? you can get into some little conversation with somebody and it will be buried down here in comments where nobody will read it but us, but everybody *could read it so the light of the sun is down here too and it's not quite a cesspool of filth ... well r/gaming is a cesspool of filth, don't unburden your soul where millions will find it, stick to smaller subreddits and you will have good conversations here

i don't know if it's that you have to be happy, so much as you have to be ok with yourself. it's one thing to recognize that a relationship will make you happy and another one to expect that from somebody. i actually think it's natural for guys to be scared of approaching because they are afraid of not the sex but just the relationship, the whole "politics of babies we're not having" causes them to seize up because in the caveman/cavewomen days, approaching a woman meant a man would be having se…

OK, thanks for the clarification, i do feel a little on the defensive here. yeah "dainty and progressive" ...maybe that would work in real life but here on reddit... thanks for the encouragement as i was getting a bit disappointed. i am all for guys having more confidence but not for them being creepy, and sometimes it seems that they can't tell the difference and think seduction is like "be creepier" but yeah, at least you guys are not like "ooooh a girl tits or gtfo"

great advice, don't be scared of girls, the worst that could happen is we'll bite you <3

weird joke dude, doesn't seem like the kind of joke a man who would go so far as to actually call himself a feminist would make i think most guys are scared of the word but might be in the closet feminists...if you like women for anything more than their bodies (and sometimes i gotta wonder about you guys, how you get even me thinking of myself as a "5.5/10" trying to get into the community spirit)
/r/seduction09/07/12 11:40 PM

wow i was imagining seduction town might be a little more friendly, you're questioning the existence of consent... i can see why you might need some help with your game, respect is an absolute must in a guy. maybe learning some feminism would help your game? go to those chill places with the lgbtq people, ask them if they believe in "consent" as you put it in scare quotes

yeah i'm not that hot, probably a 5 or a 6, but i swear that just makes more guys touch me out of nowhere expecting me to like it being aggressive is one thing, coming up to me and touching me when i don't even know you? ew... even at a party, maybe be aggressive in dancing or conversation first, i dunno? ;)

oh shush, i'm not so radical for wanting to avoid being fraped maybe the gay guys also make me more comfortable, like if i did get groped without my consent, i wouldn't have to just go along with it if i didn't like the guy
/r/seduction09/07/12 11:01 PM

That's interesting, I would have thought straight guys would prefer the company of gay guys, they seem more easygoing and less aggressive and creepy in general.

Sounds like a great frat if they have gay guys. Based on my own experiences with frats I don't think I would ever go to a party at one, but knowing that they accept genderqueer people, that makes it seem like the MIGHT be cool. What frat are you in?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
