I don’t like this approach personally because I think it helps uphold the rom-com trope that if she acts cold like she’s not into you, you just have to try harder. I don’t want a guy relentlessly harrass me because he thinks I’m just ”playing hard to get”. That doesn’t mean I throw myself at every romantic prospect, I keep my distance before I know I can trust someone but it’s not always easy to balance.

Every time a guy mentions “sense of humor” or “dark humor” on OLD you can pretty much be sure he’s looking for someone who won’t call out his shitty sexist/racist/creepy jokes. This might be specific for my country (non-English speaking) but we have loads of the obnoxious "mystery men", aka "find out for yourself" guys. "I like working out and having fun, find out the rest yourself". LVM saying they can't be even arsed to give you the basic info and you're expected to do all the work from the beginning. Also assuming they are somehow so hot women will be instantly motivated to figure them out. Ugh nope.
