House dresses!!! I’ve found that midi-length shift, shirt, and wrap dresses are the comfiest (though comfort is subjective—find something that speaks to you!).

Definitely sounds like a hormone sensitivity! If this isn’t TMI, do you know what’s causing issues when your husband uses condoms? They’re generally pretty resilient.

Hormonal birth control definitely affects women psychologically/emotionally. I’ve never had an IUD, but I was on the pill for years and noticed that my emotions were significantly dulled—I was apathetic. I’m also extremely sensitive to hormone changes (got the hair loss and nausea with the pill too)—with your bad luck with other birth control methods, you may be in the same boat. IUDs (allegedly) aren’t supposed to cause mood swings and depression like the pill does since the hormones are locali…

You're right. I'm going to say this next time she asks about him. You rock! Thank you <3

This is an amazing idea! I'm not going to contact HR off the bat because she is a little unstable, but being a terrible source of intel will be my second line of defense if speaking up to her does no good. Thank you so much!

I'm definitely going to do this if voicing my discomfort doesn't go anywhere. Thank you!

I completely agree with u/DarknessAtNight said in regards to it not being up to you to de-stress him. It's not your responsibility. Being a good listener and hearing him through (especially when he talks about his day) will make him feel at ease when he talks to you, though.

I restored my grandma's copper cookware last weekend! All you need is water, white vinegar, salt, and a sponge for scrubbing. Coat the cookware in salt (it helps if it's wet beforehand) Pour vinegar over it Wait for the magic to happen! The dull pot/pan will go from a dull brown to a brilliant copper. Scrub with the wet sponge until you've reached your desired level of shine. You may have to repeat this another time depending on how old/used the copperware is, but it's so worth the effort! My gr…

Thank you so much for your kind words! Seared salmon fillets are for dinner! His dad always cooked salmon and broccoli when he was younger, so it's a sentimental meal. Your gifts for your boyfriend are incredibly thoughtful, by the way! It's not always easy to shop for people who aren't big on gifts and the poster (in addition with the card, poem, and champagne) seem like the perfect mix of sentiment and physical items. Enjoy your Valentine's Day! I hope dinner is amazing!

Since I'm working late, he isn't expecting to see me on Valentine's Day. Which is the perfect opportunity to surprise him with flowers, his favorite dinner, and a homemade dessert (chocolate chip banana bread)! I'm making a card for him, too--it's his favorite holiday tradition.

Let's help you branch out, then! Agent Provocateur is high-quality, though that quality comes with a price. While they're not big on frills, the sale section is worth a look just to see if anything catches your eye. For Love and Lemons and Nordstrom have tons of affordable feminine pieces. They're my personal favorites (lace, girl!!!)

Hi! Kind of late to this post! What kind of lingerie/sleepwear are you interested in? Long, lacy nightgowns? Teddies? A shirt/shorts set?

Staying in the whole quick bread realm, pumpkin bread is amazing. It’s not very pumpkin-forward so the bread will taste more like spices, but the pumpkin purée does make it extremely moist. If you want to zhuzh it up a little (which I highly recommend), make some salted maple butter to slather on after the bread’s been warmed up. Bon Appetit’s recipe is amazing—they have a video up on YouTube. Send my congratulations to your husband!!!

I had to transfer from a state university to my local community college last semester (financial issues) and my unhappiness with the situation has started to build resentment towards my boyfriend. He’s an angel. I’m incredibly proud of him. He’s at one of the best engineering schools in the States, has an internship lined up after this year, is going to study abroad in Ireland, and his parents cover all his expenses. It just makes me insecure—though I know he loves me, there’s this nagging at th…
