I think we are witnessing the rise of young men and women who grew up without a strong father or mother figure. It’s not that it single parenthood is a new thing, it’s that it’s becoming the majority and becoming a sort of culture. Just look at generation z’s music choices and cultural influencers. To me this has always been an issue of misinterpreted language over the internet. People equate “hey bro, start lifting” as if everyone is trying/going to look like John Cena. Or some moon faced blob of a dude. They underestimate how much gym time those with “athletic builds” put into weight training. The average gym goer would be lucky to achieve an “athletic” look.
