I mock-nag my mother the exact same way now that I'm off in college and live at my own place. I truly think it's the knowledge that I can leave at any time that lets me do this. My father is no pushover, but damn my mother can go on about things to no end. The sad part is when I was younger, I don't really remember her being that way / him tolerating that. Two more kids down the road later, and it seems my father has been worn down over the years. In any case, when I'm home, it's like he has som…

I'd say he posed his question as just that, an inquiry. I'd also say you answered it very well, I don't think he was shaming.

Don't take out negative feelings on people who haven't done anything wrong to you man. Got to move past the olds stuff and just focus on improving yourself and your life.

It seems like some of them know it's wrong, even when it seems easy and fulfilling. Not all of them grab for the easy carrot. AWALT but NAWALT if that makes any sense.

Until it doesn't fit with what someone wants to hear, then it's metaphorical. Or written for a specific people. Etc.

The funny thing is that I usually don't run into problems with this, and I shrug at those who try to give me crap about it because they're just my standards and I don't have to change them to accommodate other people.

My way of handling this is such: The club is for single people, and a woman I am in a LTR with has no business going to a place for single people. Same with girls nights that involve going out and drinking. If it's just for fun, that can be done at one of their houses. Now, she's not obligated to abide by my standards, but those are the expectations I have, and if she doesn't like them, she doesn't have to stay.

Just remember that you are the one who initiated the breakup, and that if you don't want to be with her, then don't. Don't let her shame you into coming back, nor do you let anyone else try to do the same. Don't entertain the pleading to try again, you're better off just not really responding after this point. Stay firm.

I believe the concept here is that men get better with experience, while women decrease in quality with use. So, when the previous poster said virginity was ideal, it was more to convey that the less used the woman is, the better. For LTRs, there's some evidence behind this being true. While your second point may seem true at face value, the underlying truth is this: Women are more likely to have hookups with higher value men, and on that same token, be more open sexually to them. On the flip si…

OP did a good job summarizing, but the entire thing is worth the read.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
