| 3 | Need some help for my daughter's project on gender equality.I would be proud of my child to write about real equality (or lack thereof) instead of just about feminism, so they would get 100% grade from me. But that's just life and biology, nothing to do with how they're treated unequally by the evil patriarchy. | 1 | Realigius circumcisionNo, I understand it is something that started out as a health reason but became a general practice in the religion. I was always told that it was done to stop sand getting stuck under your foreskin, no foreskin = nowhere for sand to get stuck under. | 1 | Realigius circumcisionWell I think that the religious reasons for circumcision are completely outdated by a couple of thousand years. If you take the Jewish and Muslim faiths and look at where those originated from (the desert in the middle east), then you can see why circumcision made sense in the sandy environment where water to wash under there a few times a day could be scarce and the sand would cut into the glans causing cuts around an area that sweats a hell of a lot, leading to bacteria.
