First meeting with my therapist didn't go so wellHe might be a terrible counselor. He might just not be the right counselor for you. Either way, I think you're right to move on. | /r/MenSupportMen | 29/11/22 10:33 AM

Thinking about a vasectomy...I got one just last year. Recovery took me only a few days, even faster than I expected from the materials and advice the doctors gave me. I feel great about it. The peace of mind is real. I'll never become a parent without explicitly choosing to be. And between my family mental health issues and my own unhappy life, I have no reason to believe that my genes are something I should be looking to pass on. I'm so glad I did it. | /r/MensRights | 11/08/22 05:31 PM
Why is Tik-tok so misandrist?Seconding this. There is definitely misandristic content on TikTok. But seeing misandry on your For You Page doesn't tell you much about its overall prevalence, because the algorithm serves up whatever content keeps you engaged. There's a "Not interested" button in the Share menu and you can also block entire accounts. I recommend both. You can also swipe up quickly when you see content you don't like. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 09/08/22 05:55 AM
| -23 | I think I may know one reason why conservatism is a popular outlet for those who are anti-woke/pro-male.Yeah conservatism is about men dominating women socially, financially, and physically. Standards were "lower" in part because women just didn't have good choices. Now that women have more power, dating is definitely getting more challenging for men in some ways. But the only ethical solution is to work together to help men grow and meet the challenge. Dominating women is unethical. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 12/04/22 07:10 AM |
My uncle is paying $1,700 per week in alimony (Massachusetts, USA). Now he can't retire before 65, as he planned for his whole life. There's just a million reasons not to have kids. And not to marry just "hoping for the best" and that divorce won't fuck your shit up. I don't knock people that like marriage or kids - hope it works out for whoever chooses them. But I like security in my life. | /r/MensRights | 12/04/22 07:05 AM
Men’s makeup and the pink taxYeah, I really hated the "fragile masculinity" discourse around these products. It came off as mocking men instead of supporting them, especially since sometimes the *users* of those products were mocked and not just the companies that sold them. It didn't engage at all with the idea that maybe men enjoyed using gendered products just like a woman might enjoy a pink razor, it was all about mockery. And there was a double standard; just a "for men" on a product made it an example of "fragile masc… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 09/04/22 01:52 AM
