The biggest thing that I've learned from this subreddit is to always be a value giver. To me, this means being genuinely interested in people and doing small things to help them out. The value you give people can be inviting them to great parties/shows, organizing events, introducing them to people they might enjoy hanging out with, or helping someone find a job. If you do these things for people, you'll quickly develop a decent social circle and reputation, and people will want to know you. Bal…

Its difficult to explain. Looks won't prevent you from successful pickup, looks won't guarantee you successful pickup, but being physically attractive is a component of overall attractiveness. I would say asking "do looks not matter?" is like asking "does the fact that I don't go climbing matter?". Looks are just one of many things that can make one attractive.

cpcallen's response is extremely reasonable and well-written. Many people find /r/nofap to be a bit of a cult.

I had something similar to this (but on a shorter timescale, someone I've known for 9 months) and congratulations/best of luck to you/life is awesome/I've been there damn its awesome. Besides everything everyone else says here, this reminds me of a Vonnegut quote I read recently: "I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.'"

I feel like both you and downuno have pretty good points. I think the best resolution to these concerns is to make it a routine to do things outside of your comfort zone, or just to do new things that interest you. Essentially, I think the purpose of routines is that when an opportunity appears, you should be in your best shape to take it.

I floss maybe 1 or 2 times a week now, but also take inconveniently long showers. Guess who is flossing in the shower tomorrow morning? :D

You've got the right mindset here. I've found that the best thing for my game/life in general is trying to get out of my comfort zone at least once each day.

I've found that holding eye contact for slightly longer than usual sets a pretty clear sexual tone.

Not in an accusatory way, but you don't want to be the blonde guy in this scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmRe_fK7pbw

I'm pretty sure seduction skills got me accepted to Dartmouth. Part of the application process was an interview with an alumni, and I completely killed it to the point where the alumna showed me the form that she was sending to admissions and told me to change anything I thought would help get me accepted. I haven't practiced seduction a lot, and as of now, this has been the only time where I've thought "holy shit this stuff works!". The alumna had her 8-10 year old daughter in the room, and as …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
