The person is 20. Idk if you work with people this young, but if somehow a 20 y/o told you this, how would you respond? Honestly, looking back I should had added age into the question bc it would definitely change my response. I'm not gay, but if a gay man was in this situation and asked me for help I'll just set up a blind date with one of my gay friends. Idk any single gay older men so potentially I'll help them make an online dating account bc most likely they never used it. (Assuming they do…

I'm just gonna take this question too. Dieing as a virgin to me was as scary as dying without traveling. I've grew up watching a lot of documentaries of different cultures and always wanted to connect with different people in new settings. However, my dad was pretty controlling and paranoid, so we never traveled. Now as an adult I am focusing on my education and career. Only just recently I felt comfortable to go to new places. If I was in a 2 weeks to live situation 2 years ago I would probably…

It must be a murderer on death roll, waiting for execution. ;) Lol good point. This is just a back story for a supervillain for a comic book I'm making. Definitely not a murder, but really evil. I was curious what would happen if he didn't have powers. The less than 14 days thing is certain because it is a fictional condition that everyone knows of in story.

Fair. This is literally a villan's back story in a comic book I'm making. The main villan give him mind control powers and he spends the two weeks just abusing it. Geting money, hoes, and overpowering the heros. I was just wondering what would happen in reality.

One of his guy friends knows and introduces you him without telling you his situation

I never said that's all he was thinking about. He just want to live his little life as fully as possible. It's not weird to try to explore new things if you know you have little time left. Especially if you were actively trying to do them. You can want spend time with friends and family but also shoot last shoots at goals.

"The more you learn about him, the more you realize that he has really stable family, group of guy friends, and finances," He is in the process of getting a massive mixed friend group. Guys that are behind socially have to start somewhere and it is extremely easier to get close men friends than women. The question practically boils down to if anyone is willing to adapt their relationship pace for a guy they probably could had dated anyways. Or at least if struggling in the past doesn't mean an a…

You are putting too much faith in people's ability to truly know who's "competent" without exploring. Like hypothetically if a girl did want a strong bad dude, how would they not overlook someone like Mikey Musumeci (just look him up) before he got famous. People are just hella biased. If women weren't, they'd all be in happy relationships with the first man they tried. Women overlook what they want all the time. Hence why most of them are unhappy with dating, despite having so many options on w…

Yikes. The comment was deleted, but I can picture what they said. I feel like people try to separate discrimination/dating from each other, but they are extremely interconnected. The combination of bigotry and already being weriy of men makes it hard for minorities to build close relationships with women (why the incel community is so diverse). I only started to have close women friends after I moved out of my racist ass town. Weirdly, I was a "better" man before (more fit, more stable, more car…

I mean normal for them personally. Actually I think it's crazy to rather add any negative thing early just to eliminate another. Especially that early. Things are too complicated and I don't think I know enough about anything to risk it. I would just rather live with the flaws and problems I have now.

It's your opinion and I'm not trying to insist your personal cost/risk analysis is wrong (you are you). I'm just curious on your thought process. Like you said, men very different than women. So seeing so many say that they would even consider complete eliminate the chances of finding their soul mate and risk the unknown rather than live normally is just crazy to me. I questioned you because claimed your answer wouldn't change no matter how tricky the question was. So I was extra curious

My reasoning is that unwanted male attention is far more harmful than any benefits of wanted male attention are appealing. Sorry I might have not been as direct as I should have. Do you think you would know or care about this if you never had personal experience with male attention and why? Your views on the benefits and risk might change. I pointed out reasons why. Hearing stuff from the people close to you, never feeling pressure to be in a relationship, living in bad area, having access to go…

Yeah that's why I believe most disagreements in the subreddit are just people having problems getting the full picture since most gender issues start early or get harder to deal with overtime. Honestly I didn't even consider that enough. I tend to just compare my general health outcome to my sister and yeah I'm far more mentally messed up in the dating department. But at least I had hope and felt ok when I was a preteen. I had the idea that I'll be like Bruce Wayne or something, then someone mig…

That's why I was asking how your answer will change if you never had romantic or sexual attention. It's easy to say your social/mental health doesn't rely on male attention when you have or had sexual/romantic attention. Just like how I believed my life would be better with extreme female romantic attention. That's why I think most people would actually just end up as bitter with either extreme after a long time. The data shows that both extremes can cause mental health issues. I use the term so…

So I'm not going to go too deep, but there are dangers of having literally no attention too. Social health is tied to overall health and safety. Of course unwanted attention is causes severe issues. But, also does lack of attention. Why do you think so many men have body issues, are openly sexist, predators, or partake in self destructive behaviors? Why do you think they face more severe consequences for equal crimes/actions? Point being, why do you think you'll avoid these things after a long t…

Do you think your past experiences affect your answer? Like if you never had a hookup, boyfriend, husband, etc. Ngl I'm a dude who gets a lot of compliments on my appearance (mostly by other dudes) and been groped and catcalled a few times by both men and women. However, since I had a long period of lonliness any attention I get was amusing. As time went on it started getting less and less amusing, yet still never as bad as before I got any attention. Now, I realized that both extremes are not p…

If you define "wanting to love" as good things, then she was a bad person to the men before. But if she eventually wants to love, why wouldn't she be a good person? But anyway, the fact that you think its as simple as effort = sex for guys just proves my point. You don't know the men that actively try to deeply connect with women and haven't succeeded yet. These men truely don't know what they want from women so the assume sex is what they need. All I'm saying is that women reject some pretty go…

So if I said a women with a body count above X will never be a "good women" would that be reasonable? You're just slut shaming at this point. People change, sex is fun, and liking it doesn't cause someone not to be there for their love ones when they need it. And yes, men have to pursue it, but women are bigoted too. Classism, racism, ablism, sexism etc. Hypergamy is just caused by the fact women express bigotry differently than men. Most women refuse to even talk to men that are too different, …

I think women have a bias when determining "good men". Since its more risky for y'all to hang out with men, the likelihood that you would know a good man with a high sex drive, but no experience is extremely low. Having a high sex drive with a lack of romantic experience/skill does not directly equal a bad man. Like why do you think incels rarely complain about not being able to make guy friends too? Do you think men just like hanging around bad men?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 07:22 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
